Winner of the 2020 IACP Award for Best Cookbook, Food Photography & Styling The New York Times Best Cookbooks of Fall 2019 "Liz and Chad created much more than a bakery. They tapped into a next-level frequency and, thankfully, we can all tune in. The breadcrumb trail comes full circle with this revisit to the original Tartine classic. I am inspired by where they've been, love where they are, and I'm excited to see where they take us next."โChris Bianco, author of Bianco: Pizza, Pasta, and Other Food I Like Tartine is one of the most acclaimed and inspiring bakeries in the world. Perfect for the experienced baker
This cookbook is full of wonderful recipes - both classic and innovative. I would absolutely recommend this for an experienced/seasoned baker. The recipes are time consuming and require great attention to detail, but the finished work product is unmatched. Some of the best pastries I've eaten have come from this book and it's truly a great edition to every baker's cookbook library

a fun challenge
Beautifully produced with detailed recipes and stunning photography. Itโs inspiring for both beginners and experienced bakers. Some recipes assume access to specialized equipment or ingredients, and a few techniques are challenging without prior experience, but the book is still a valuable resource for serious bakers.

Beautifuly Written with Easy to Follow Recipes
I bought this amazing book within 3 days of reading it in the library. The pastries are, as the author says, "classic" - items you'd see in a modern bakery (including here in WI). Instructions are clear and easy to follow, although some take time, to be expected. Elegant goodies like croissants, morning buns, unique cakes, lemon tarts and bars -- and my absolute favorites -- a good dozen recipes that are low gluten or totally gluten-free! If you have baking experience, you shouldn't be disappointed. PLEASE NOTE: The english muffin recipe has been corrected in this website with additional info on the poolish and revised ingredient quantities.

Delightful!
Actually bought by mistake, thought it was their bread book! 5 bakes in, I will be pulling a โJuliaโ and baking my way through the book. Handed it to my grown kids to pick recipes. Kitchen-tips with every cook, pictures to make your mouth water. I needed some time off from my smoker! Seems blasphemous to write in this beautifully bound tome, but it is a text book!

Choux-in for best cookbook on the shelf
Love this cookbook! I first saw it at a colleague's last year, and absolutely fell in love. The classic French recipes for baking are made so much easier than I expected. The varieties are colourful, with something for any mood you're in. The directions are very straightforward and make light work of a daunting task -- with options for stand mixers, hand mixers, and mixing by hand for each recipe. Very useful if you only do the latter! The first time I made a successful choux was a proud moment, and all because of Tartine ๐ฏ

Great book but bashed in delivery
Great recipe book, everyone should have one. Sadly the delivery company clearly dropped it so it looks a bit rough, which is annoying as it wasn't cheap.
