Easily heard and a good value.
My wife and I are senior citizens and I have a partial hearing loss. Because of her health issues, my wife sometimes calls out to me for help. These whistles are ideal for her to summon me when we are at opposite ends of the house. The landyard makes it easy to attach the whistle so that it is within easy reach. The two-pack was just what we needed and is a good value.

Bought for hiking. Grandson liked it so well he just wore it instead of keeping it in his backpack.

These are really loud
When I blew the whistle with full air it was so loud it made my ears ring ... for several minutes. Put your fingers in your ears before blowing. Very easy to use - probably keep out of reach of little kids. Hubby wears hearing aids except at night so I don't know if he would hear this if I fell at night. He is really hard of hearing.

Whistle while you work (or play)
I purchased as safety measure while hiking in Sana Monica Mountains in case I ran into a Mountain Lion or needed assistance. I blew the whistle and be forwarded. it can loud, can hurt your ear. I knew to blow lower as I tried a blow horn before and even at a distance that DID injure my ear and the whistle has more control to the decibel volume. I like he bright color, lightweight, best material.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: inexpensive, had lanyard, bright color Functionality: thought it would be louder. Just average volume.

Ja, was soll eine Pfeife können? Sie soll pfeifen! Und das tun diese hier wirklich gut und vor allem das tun diese hier wirklich sehr laut. Als Pfeifen für Trainer sind sie, glaube ich ungeeignet, aber als Notsignal pfeifen, erfüllen Sie genau ihren Zweck. Nicht mehr und nicht weniger.
