Broken opener board
I have not yet used this product for its intended use, and I'm on the fence about returning it... The knife seems to be sturdy and of good quality but the opener board broke as I took it out of the package, so I am skeptical about the knife as well.

Very sturdy oyster knife
The blade is sturdy and the handle fits well in my hand. The blade runs the entire length of the handle and is fastened by 3 rivets. The blade is thick enough to keep it sharp and gives me enough leverage to twist the shell off. Unlike other knives it won’t work loose. Because it’s straight, I can use a small hammer to tap it to start opening the shell. It is my favorite oyster knife.
