Serves the Purpose
My new wall-mounted Samsung TV does not RCA jacks I needed to plug in my wireless headphones base. I attached the optical audio Toslink cable to the TV's optical out and to optical in on the converter. I taped the converter onto the wall-mount behind the TV and the base of the headphones RCA cables to the converter. The converter is powered by USB, so I plugged into a USB outlet plug behind the TV.

I used this product to run any sound that goes through my flat screen tv, to my older analog receiver, so I could hear through speakers.

DO NOT BUY, WENT OUT AFTER ITS TOO LATE TO RETURN
Dont waste your time, it lasted long enough for the return window to close then jyst out of nowhere it went out, save your money, buy something else, this isnt worth it

Didn't work?!
Could not get this device to work no matter what I tried and I tried it on several audio devices. The product gets really good reviews, so perhaps I got one that was defective??????

Poorly made. get what you pay for
Attached the optical cable to the device, the port broke off. order replacement, unimpressed with the quality of sound.
