Egg Dye, Red

This egg dye is nothing short of AMAZING!I used it to dye eggs for my grandson’s 100 Days Celebration. This is a very pretty red that takes hold almost instantly. Color intensity increases with every dip in and out of the dye. One pack is definitely enough to dye a ton of eggs!First, I drew cartoon roosters, etc., with indelible black marker. ( 2017 was the Year of the Rooster.)I colored the sketches with waterproof metallic markers.I also used a white crayon to try to preserve white where needed.Lastly, I dipped the eggs.Upon removing each egg from the dye, I was able to dry and polish it with a paper towel immediately.I also tried out a different company’s egg dying kit on this same project. There is no comparison.Check out my pictures to see the contrast in the mix of deep red eggs from this product and the less potent alternative.

Very red! Be careful and don’t make the same mistake I did. Wear gloves when handling the packet! Even if it’s just to open it.

I did only 12 eggs and they turned out pretty nice, dye was easy to use and did not stain my hands at all. Added water until all eggs were covered and no more. Kalo tsougrisma!

It worked

Used one package to dye 40 eggs for a baby party. It dyed the eggs a nice dark red. We didn't want shiny eggs, so didn't oil the eggs. The only negative was that the dye turned our fingers red if they are wet.

Not as deep a red as I would have liked, but worked OK.

This works really well - leaves a uniform, rich red, without streaks or shading, and is very quick. I’ll buy this brand again.

Have been using this dye for Paschal eggs over six years. The red is rich and beautiful. Will continue to use it!
