Great sounding ukulele!

A member of one of the ukulele classes I go to has the all carbon fiber acoustic version of this uke. He also has an electric version. When I first heard him playing the acoustic carbon Klos at class I couldn’t believe how great it sounded. I have a quiver of about 30 ukuleles, several really high quality ones, and all made of wood. However, I just couldn’t resist buying a Klos after hearing his. Mine arrived two days ago and I can’t leave it alone. Everything about this ukulele is perfect for me. I have short, fat fingers that are old man soft. The narrow neck of this uke makes It much easier for me to play. The sound is mellow and the sustain is long weather strumming or picking. The preamp/tuner works very well and is high quality with low, mid, and high trim pots. There’s nothing that I would change on this instrument and it is now my goto ukulele. This ukulele is very distinctive in its appearance (in a good way) and came strung with high G tuning, producing a very bright sound which was louder than expected. I restrung it with low G fluorocarbon strings (my preference) and the sound became warmer and very close in quality to my Koa uke, which I really like. I'm still getting used to my new uke, but so far I'm really impressed. It came with a high-quality gig bag, rugged strap and good quality electronics, making it a good value. I recommend it.

I wanted a good sounding uke that i could take to the beach and maybe play sometimes amplified. The KLOS meets those requirements. PRO: - sound is ok, not as warm as my all koa , nor as bright as my kala travel uke. The kala has more projection. - construction is solid. - the built-in pickup has tuner and basic effects if you are a guitar person. - they provide a strap included in the bundle. - frets are smoothed and well placed - string height is fine, possibly a bit high - delux tuning pegs are smooth and accurate. CONS - heavy. very heavy. that is why you might need a strap. - nut is very sharp on the ends, pokes my hands sometimes - neck is very thick, as if it were designed by someone who holds the neck with their palm, not their thumb. - frets are a tiny bit high - neck is a bit too narrow for my liking

As close to indestructible as a uke can be, great tone, no complaints.

I am involved in gigs that take me and my group around the island. Wear and tear is no stranger in our line of programs, and I need an instrument that is up to par. The KLOS ukulele is built to handle the stress on the road, and I am thankful to the KLOS brothers (& company) for bringing it into existence. I look forward to when KLOS builds a solid body ukulele retrofitted with a pickup system designed to amplify each string on the saddle. The bar type in all ukuleles is old school. Really good sound quality, excellent design, it looks really nice and the deluxe kit upgrades are really worth it. I highly recommend it.
