The most tender grape leaves!
UPDATED REVIEW, We have continued to order these leaves. Unfortunately the last jar of leaves were very tough and veiny. Even after simmering for 45 minutes they did not soften to our liking. I'm hesitant to order another large jar. Purchased our first jar after realizing our local grocery stores no longer carry grape leaves. We were a bit hesitant to order such a large glass jar knowing it could break during shipping. It arrived in perfect condition! Leaves are not difficult to remove from the jar. They are wrapped in 4 sections, so you do not need to remove all the leaves at once. Separating the leaves is quite a bit of a struggle due to them being so tender. They can rip quite easily so much patience is required! I rolled ours with ground beef, rice & tomatoes! 2 sections of the jar was enough to fill just over 1 lb of ground beef. I slow simmered the stuffed leaves in a pot for 45 minutes. They turned out absolutely amazing! The most tender and delicious dolmades we have ever had. We turned right around and ordered a second jar to have on hand. This time the jar leaked during shipping. A good bit of the juice had leaked out but not all. We contacted the company to ask if they were safe to use. We got a very quick response (kudos to great customer service)! They responded that they were safe due to preservatives and the fact that the leaves are mostly cooked before packaging. However they insisted on refunding our purchase even though we told them it was not necessary. We ordered a 3rd jar, and it was delivered in perfect condition. We will continue to order this brand!

Easy to stuff with no tear
I decided a few weeks ago that I was going to try and make some grape leaves. My mom used to buy them from a middle eastern restaurant in downtown Detroit when I was a kid. The stores no longer carry the leaves in the grocery store so I decided to check on Amazon. The first time I ordered I purchased Cortes Grape Leaves 35oz jar. Turned out to big a big mistake, because they were falling apart as I rolled them. I decided to try Tazah and stuffing and rolling them up was so much more easier and they did not tear. They are baking in the oven now so I Wii post a pic when they are done ๐

Massive amount of unusable/defective grape leaves
I had decided to make dolmathes this weekend, and was shocked that grocery stores near me no longer carried jarred grape leaves. After running to three stores, Amazon to the rescue, and they delivered this morning before 9 am, even though I didn't place my order until yesterday at 5 pm. Kudos to Amazon! But I will never order the Tazah grape leaves again due to the quality and the price. I ordered two 2-lb jars, and threw away over one full jar. The leaves were either ripped or missing segments, and I had to "patch" leaves together. Unacceptable. Also, after cooking my dolmathes, the grape leaves were very tough and unchewable in many instances. Also unaceptable. The jarred grape leaves I used to be able to purchase at the grocery store were never this defective or tough. I have no clue who the manufacturer was, but I wish I did! The only good news is that these products did have a "use by date" of 2023, and they were packaged very well for shipping. Next time I want to make dolmathes, I will be going to my local middle-eastern market in advance, and will never purchase the Tazah brand again!

Best grape leaves Iโve ever bought!
Best grape leaves Iโve ever ordered! No preservatives, many of the stems are already removed, and the leaves are excellent quality.

Stems not trimmed
The grape leaves arrived very quickly, which is why I went with a brand I had not ordered before. I had to cut the stems off every leaf. And the leaves were tougher than any Iโd ever gotten before. Cooking the stuffed grape leaves about an hour longer took care of the toughness. A few had large veins and those did not soften. The flavor was good. However I would not have ordered them if I has realized they had sulfites in them. Read the label.

Poor shipping
I ordered 2 jars. Both were placed in a large box with no bubble wrap or protection so the jars had a lot of room to move around during shipping. One of the jars leaked all over another product I had purchased and thus had to throw out b6due to the seal being broken. In the remaining jar the grape leaves were tasty and large enough to use as wraps. I rated 3 stars due to the shipping. No one likes to pay for an items that has to then be thrown out once received.

Delicious
First of all, I was nervous about ordering something in a glass container, but it arrived in one piece. This was my first time using grape leaves! I was inspired to make something called dolmas, even though I had never heard of them until a post in a food group on Facebook. I love to cook, and eat, and I'm willing to try new stuff. I had some trouble getting them out of the jar because I was worried I'd tear them. Turns out they are a lot tougher than they look. So drain them , unroll them and soak them in cold water to get rid of the saltiness! There will be some that you can't use to wrap food with because of size, shape, or tears. The grape leaves don't have much flavour of their own. Though the food you make with them is (should be) delicious.

Great quality, easy to use
Amazing quality, every leaf was perfect! The leaves were so big too that I wiggled a folded section out to be able to gently get them out
