Loving it
I have been wanting to read my kindle in the bathtub since I bought my first one, now I can. This case is so nice. It's like having a kindle without a case actually, without having to worry about scratching the screen. The case fits perfectly, making the screen as sensitive as it was before I put it on. When the case came, I didn't even need to read any instructions because it literally snapped onto my kindle. Of course I did have to clean the sand from our St. Bart's trip off first, and the case came with a small cleaning cloth just for that purpose. The case is waterproof up to 6 feet for 30 minutes, which I tested in my bathroom sink. Needless to say I was pretty reluctant to do so, but it worked! Now I'm confident that I can take my kindle anywhere and not have it malfunction on the first day of a long vacation. At $60 it is expensive, but buying books to replace it if I broke it, would be pricey too. I'm so happy that I have my new case.

I use it to read in the hot tub
My previous Kindle Paperwhite was destroyed due to water damage in the hot tub (I didn't actually drop it in the hot tub; it was just water that ran off wet hands and somehow got inside the Kindle that did it). So I wised up and bought a new Kindle and a new case to go with it. This case has been working perfectly. It is indeed watertight. On a hot day, the screen will actually "puff out" a little bit due to built up air pressure inside the case from heat expansion. Opening the rubber plug that goes over the USB port for a second is enough to clear this condition if it happens. I don't feel the screen detracts significantly from the readability of the display, although it does reduce the touch screen sensitivity a bit. I've had to learn to tap a little bit harder than I used to. I'm very pleased with this purchase, and confident it will save my new paperwhite from the same fate as my previous paperwhite.

So Far So Good
Atlas Waterproof Case for Kindle Paperwhite by IncipioThe Atlas Waterproof Case is a very good case though pricey ($69.99 at time of purchase) that kept my Kindle Paperwhite dry.Positives:1. It is truly waterproof. I dipped it into my tub and no problem.2. Very sturdy. I have yet to drop it but the design gives me confidence that it will live up to the claims.3. Comes with a one year limited warranty.4. The anti-glare screen works as advertised.5. It’s easy to turn the pages.6. It’s easy to put together.7. Reasonably light.8. It’s easy and comfortable to hold.9. It’s padded in the inside to further protect your Kindle.10. It’s a thin case.11. It doesn’t affect access to the charger.12. Rubber plug to protect charging port.13. Aesthetic design.Negatives:1. On the expensive side.2. You must register the product to be under warranty.3. No wake up feature.4. It’s not a standalone case.5. A little difficult to open but a small inconvenience.6. I have yet to scratch the screen but concerned that it may scratch easily?7. The screen is not crystal clear but good enough.8. Highlighting around the edges wasn’t quite as reliable as before but it still works. In summary, I like this product more than the negatives suggest. The main purpose is to use it around the pool and the tub without fear of damaging my Kindle and so far so good. Recommended with reservations noted more updates to follow.

And it's waterproof
I was very hesitant to spend this much on another cover when my trusty zip lock bags had been making my Kindle 'bath proof' for years, but I took the plunge and I am so glad I did! I'm not much on covers as they change the shape and feel of a device, and this one does make the Kindle bigger, but it really is waterproof. Now I haven't gone deep sea diving or anything, I simply read in the tub, but this has had no condensation, no leakage and I have full use of my kindle.Update: Because this case is difficult to open be very certain that there is no dust or stray pet hair or anything else inside before sealing it up. The thing that makes it great, the waterproofing, also makes it hard to clean and those specks can be really annoying

Good while it lasted.
I've had this case on my kindle for about 4 months now, and I've been very happy with it, until today.I carry my kindle in my back pocket or in the saddlebags of a motorcycle most of the time. Both of which being reasons that I was interested in a waterproof protective case for it. The case has performed well, protected my kindle from weather on many occasions, and protected it from a few potentially destructive drops & bumps. However, at some point over the past to days, the plug that goes into the cutout where you attach the USB charging cable got rubbed the wrong way and simply popped off the tether. No idea where it is. This obviously compromises the waterproofing integrity of the case, and in the worst possible location for the case to "spring a leak," so to speak. It was good while it lasted, but for the price, I would have expected it to last longer. It's a shame, really, that this one flaw (how the plug is tethered to the case) has now completely invalidated the entire purpose of the case.

Solid Sleek (Not Ugly!) Case, Easy to Install, Minimal Screen Interference
I love it. It's not ugly like some other people have said. It's simple, sleek, and understated (I bought the black one). It barely adds any heft to the Kindle. I didn't have any trouble installing it. Those finger dents or whatever you call the divots you use to pull the two pieces apart were not overly difficult to use, very similar to the same feature on similar items - nothing out of the ordinary in terms of difficulty of opening. I think I have noticed only the slightest bit of interference with the screen sensitivity but I have never owned a Kindle before and I put my Kindle into the case straight away so it's a little hard to tell. It doesn't bother me too much and I would still recommend the case. I'm very happy with the purchase and I would definitely buy it again. Oh, and I am so happy I went with a case with a built in screen protector. It makes me feel much more comfortable about the protection of my Kindle.

I was so happy to get this in the mail today
I was so happy to get this in the mail today. Unfortunately, there are multiple problems with this device:1. it is too heavy, but this is the least of the problems.2. too hard to open.3. the screen will NOT mesh flat with the Kindle, which causes blurring of the fantastic Paperwhite's display. It is as if the beauty of the Kindle Paperwhite disappears with this case.4. Because the screen will not provide optimum contact with the Paperwhite, the touch is on and off and when it is on, it barely works. That is, it ruins the sensitivity.5. I was so excited to get it that I ripped the package open and ruined the packaging it to the point that I cannot return it.6. Save your money.

Excellent case!
This case worked well at the beach. It protected my paperwhite from both sand and salt water. I like it so much that it has become my everyday case. I use it when I take a bath and sometimes when I am reading a great book and in the shower. I also use it when I use the stationary bike and drip sweat on it. Simply wipe it off and it is good to go. I have had some white spots on the inside of the screen protector, but those are remedied by taking the case off and wiping it down. A dime is all that is needed to take the case off.I would buy this for my wife if she had a paperwhite and I would buy it again if it broke.

Protección
Protege perfecto, el único problema es que cuesta trabajo apagar la kindle ya que se queda encendida la pantalla y hay que abrirla
