Best spice grinder available...
I have been cooking Indian Food for 17 years. I have burnt through countless coffee bean grinders (despite reading rave reviews on them) over the years grinding spice mixtures (i.e., masalas) both wet and dry using coffee bean grinders. I am aware these are not designed for wet masala paste processing, but one would think the gasket separating the blade from the motor would prevent seepage. In any event, these "bean grinders" are not meant for long term use. So, I search for "industrial grinder" and came across this product. I am THRILLED with it. It is very high quality, excellent stainless steel body, like one would see in a professional kitchen. The volume of the grinding hopper is about 2 1/2 cups, so much bigger than even the largest coffee grinder I have encountered. I am an Ophthalmologist by profession, so I looked very carefully with scrutiny at its design; it is very well made. Let me explain the knobs as shown for clarity. The red knob on the right keeps the whole body vertical for grinding. This is important because if you have a smaller quantity of seeds to grind, you can tilt it and gravity with cause it to fall to one corner below and keep it in contact with the blades longer instead of flying in the air inside the hopper during grinding. The knob on the right of the photo is the timer/on switch for timed grinding. The red light on top is the "on light". I believe the button in front is a breaker release (I have not used yet) or it may cut power to the blades in case you need to stop it suddenly. I am waiting for my English version manual to come to review its function. Finally, the lid secures very nicely with two adjustable locking knobs. There is a rubber gasket inside the lid to keep the powder inside nicely. The unit comes with all the extras: a nice sieve, a cleaning brush, extra springs/bushing x 2, extra set of blades. The cord plugs in the back (both male and female ends). I am so pleased with this item. It is worth every penny. I cannot wait to grind pieces of dried turmeric, which has the density and hardness as petrified wood. You will be very happy you bought this if you have been in same circumstance as myself.

Excellent Machine!!!!!!!!
I don't usually leave reviews. But when something impresses me I have to. I bought this machine because I had a bumper crop of Garlic this year. I want to make some Garlic Powder. If you never made fresh homemade Garlic powder never have had it you will be asking yourself what the hell have I been eating in those little jars. One of the best kept secrets in the culinary world!!!! The machine out performed all my expectations. Super fast grinding time, less than 30 seconds per batch. Nice fine powder, easy to use, not bad to clean. Noise?? No big deal. If your thinking of getting one get the one that tilts. Perfect for my needs. Score out of 1 - 10? 10+++++

So far, works well
I'm very happy with this grinder so far. The grind ranges from fine to coarse depending on how you use the machine. I will say that I was hoping that the machine could grind the herbs that I put in it a little bit finer (I was hoping for baby-powder fine but I think that I would need a hammer grinder to get dried herbs that fine), but it will work for me. I started by grinding dried beans just to test it out and made a good flour out of them, now I'm trying various dried herbs. My one tip is that the power swich/timer knob took a minute to figure out, and the manual depicts a slightly different model that has a different power switch. Since I was starting out cautiously, I didn't want to turn the timer dial too far so I figured out that you can simply turn the dial clockwise very slightly and just hold it in the on position. The machine heats up pretty quickly so I prefer this method to start. I think that I'll get a lot of use out of this grinder and I'm glad that I bought it.

The Nimbus 2000 of grinding
The gods of grinding herbs, spices, and coffee will rue the day that this abomination of grinding was created. This thing is an industrial-strength grinder. It’s ridiculously powerful and I feel unworthy of even having it in my kitchen. Be sure to fully dry whatever you’re grinding though, it will overheat if there’s even a little bit of moisture in your stuff. Otherwise, this incredible piece of machinery has been one of the coolest, most-potent things I’ve ever purchased, dang.

Hard to Clean
I’ve had this grinder for about 2 months now and I really wish I could give this product 5 stars. This product is extremely difficult to clean and I have been unable to remove the blade to properly clean it. The instructions say to use a knife and pliers at the same time to remove the blade. The knife to keep the blade from turning and the pliers to grip the nut and turn it. I have literally tried everything and it hasn’t worked. I even tried wire cutters to remove the nut. The grinder actually works great in grinding my product. However I’m running a business where I pride myself on quality product. I can’t ensure cleanliness or my grounded product because I can’t properly clean the product.

Works well, a bit of a learning curve. Practice a few times to figure out how it works.
This arrived on time. It is a bit menacing, and takes up some counter space, but it is really good at what it does. It is very sturdy. I am scientist, so I enjoy using this in my kitchen, it is lab-quality. You should try it out a few times making rice flour before you try anything else. You need to be careful that it is sealed very well, or some powder will get out when you grind. I use it for making my own spice mix and for grinding up dried chillies. It can make flour out of anything supposedly. It was expensive, but it looks well made, and they give you extra parts so when they wear out you can replace them. There is no safety setting, so it can work with the top off, which could be catastrophic. The company was very responsive and wanted to make sure that I was happy, but for the price I paid, I hope it lasts. I only use it once a month or so.

This grinder does the job.
My wife is a Chinese herbalist from Sichuan Province. I bought this grinder for her to grind her various herbs and roots. We even grew our own Ginseng which dried real hard and dense. I had my doubts that this could be ground into a powder. This CGoldenWall grinder ground right through it like it was paper. It's an amazing machine and the 2 replaceable sharpened blades grind everything into a fine powder. She even ground Conch shell in it and again the grinders power blew right through it. It's easy to clean, the top secures nicely during operation, and you can pulverize anything with it. It's not loud either.

Used it for the first time today & couldn't of made a better investment.
Machine has a weird smell when running but hopefully it will clear up when it breaks in, it's fast & does an amazing job of making flour. Made my first loaf of bread in over 4 years due to allergy to yeast, gluten & eggs. This mill allows me to affordably grind up whatever I want compared to dropping $10 for a small bag of brown rice flour. The recipe below is the best read that I've eaten in at least 4 years. if you have any of these allergies, it just needs a bit more milk. Ingredients Group 1 : Dry Ingredients 3/4 cup brown rice flour 3/4 cup almond flour 1/2 cup potato starch (not potato flour) 1/2 cup tapioca flour 1/4 cup gluten free oat flour 1/4 cup cornstarch 1 tablespoon baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 3 teaspoons xanthan gum 3 tablespoons coconut sugar 1 teaspoon salt Group 2 : Wet 1 cup 2% milk 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar Group 3 : Egg Replacement 2 tablespoons flaxseed meal 6 tablespoons hot water 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil 1/4 cup water 1 tablespoon melted butter Begin by whisking the dry ingredients (group 1) together in your stand mixer bowl thoroughly. Set this aside for now. Next mix the milk and apple cider together and allow to warm slightly on the counter. Next step is to mix the flaxseed meal and the hot water together from group 3. Set this aside to get goopy. Once the flaxseed meal slurry is the right consistency, mix into it the 1/2 cup olive oil and stir together thoroughly. Then mix in the milk, then the water, stirring together after each addition. Now make a well in the flour mixture that is already in your stand mixer bowl. Pour the liquid into the well and using your dough hooks mix until all the liquid is incorporated into the flour. It should be thick and hold together in a ball. By now, you should have preheated your oven to 375 degrees and greased a cookie sheet with olive oil. Turn the dough out onto the middle of the cookie sheet and with olive oiled hands smooth and shape the dough into a ball. With a sharp knife score the top in an X but not too deep. At this point I brushed the top with melted butter and placed it into the 375 degree oven for 1 hour. When done, remove the bread loaf and put it on a wire rack to cool.

Grinding fine stuff
Grinding nuts, beans or grains is good. Quick and very fine. It's noisy and hard to clean properly but still bearable with your patience.

Descrizione truffaldina
