Q: I ordered oneof these from someone else last year and wanted it for a desk. It was really small and looked terriable. Is this big enough for a desk?

if it is a large desk would be great size, smaller desk, would be too big. is a gorgeous globe we have thoroughly enjoyed ours.

Q: What size is the base of the globe (the gold base that it sits in)? I am wanting to set it on my mantle but am afraid it might be too big.

OK, this is the best way I know how to answer this for his purpose. The widest part of the base lets, is just under 11 inches. The diameter of the metal gold "ring" is about 15 inches. I have no idea how wife the person's mantle is.

Q: One of the baubles on the end of the legs has gone missing ftom my globe! Any chance you sell a replacement?

Q: Can the globe swivel and/or tilt on its axis?

yes it can,most of circumference until it will stop against compass on bottom,excellent value for the beauty of this product
