Fresh breath for your pup
I have a dog who doesn't chew her food. She inhales it - literally - like a vacuum. Therefore, her teeth get bad quickly. I had her teeth professionally cleaned last year at 2 years old, and there is plaque forming again 1 year later. I've taken to brushing her teeth and thought I'd give this a try. Both dogs LOVE the flavor of the water and have been drinking more water! I started with a 1/4 cap and grew over a couple of days. I'm not sure why they recommend easing into it - but if it's about water flavor and your dog being suspicious - there was none of that here. My Schnauzer has yucky teeth, but she's 12-13 years old, so I'd expect that. She's a huge chewer of bones, and after starting this treatment, a chunk of plaque broke off her teeth. I'm brushing her teeth every few days as well. What I notice most is that both dogs have better breath. The Schnauzer has always had death breath - and her beard keeps that odor as well. Now that she's dipping her beard in water that smells fresh, I think it's deodorizing her beard! Huge improvement. Overall, I don't think it's a miracle remedy that's going to work on its own, but I wish I'd started it right when my Golden got her teeth cleaned. Who can complain about a dog having better breath? And I love that they have increased their water consumption! I'm very happy and will continue to buy this product!

Great product for helping to remove tartar and bad breath from your dog.
Mad About Organics Daily Oral Water Treatment for dogs really works well. I just place it in my dog's water every morning in a new, clean bowl of water. The ingredients are natural and work well to clean my dog's teeth. Her breath is fresh and she has less tartar on her teeth. In my opinion it helps as a preventive care measure to keep her teeth and gums healthy and clean. I would recommend this product for oral dental care for your dog. I do not know how it tastes but, she has no problems drinking this throughout the day.

Dog water additive for fresh breathe
Just switched to this because it’s organic and I didn’t like all the chemicals in my old one. Dogs like this much better and I feel good about giving it to them.

Do not give to a dog with heart disease
I've been desperately searching for something to give my senior dog for her teeth and breath. She has severe heart disease and can't be put under anesthesia in order to get her teeth cleaned. After giving her this product I noticed she seemed a little "off". I continued to research options and found that Aloe Vera gel or liquid (which is in this product) can interfere with heart disease especially if taking Digoxin, which my dog is. I am sure this product works great, but unfortunately we can't use it due to her heart condition.

Almost Perfect!
We just switched to Mad About Organics for our four cats. A few months ago one of them had some oral health issues so we decided it would be good to start using a water additive. We started out with a competing product, which we bought here on Amazon. To my knowledge it did not negatively affect them in any way, and it cleared up one cat's bad breath. However, I have been gradually making the shift to a more natural lifestyle so when the other product was used up, I decided to check out the other products available on Amazon. If I am striving to live a healthier lifestyle, I should have the same standard for my four-legged family members. Just like our previous product, Mad About Organics contains water, aloe vera, and glycerine. These are the only ingredients they have in common. They both smell minty; this one because it contains both wintergreen and peppermint, and the other one because it contains peppermint flavoring. So this one has herbs, while the other has artificial flavoring. Mad About Organics finishes off the ingredients with kelp and tinctures of cranberry and blueberry. It is a totally natural product! Many of the water additives include sodium benzoate and/or potassium sorbate. Our previous product contained both. These preservatives are widely believed to be safe, but some people are now questioning this; I have been seeing articles recommending to avoid them if possible. Mad About Organics was the only product I found that is all natural. As with the previous product, the cats do not seem to mind the flavor. The cat who once had a bad breath problem is doing well (i.e. the bad breath has NOT returned). As for whether it is reducing plaque, I may never know, as I am not anxious to fight with the felines to get a look inside their mouths. The more important thing in my mind is that I have no doubt as to its safety, so I know that I am in no way harming them. The only reason I am giving four, rather than five stars, may seem minor. Nonetheless, it is important to me. The product comes with an old-fashioned lid. The kind that has to be unscrewed and removed. Most bottles nowadays have something like a flip-top, so that you can open the bottle without removing the lid. Also, with the flip-top or similarly designed caps, the flow is reduced so that it is easier to pour the desired amount. I have arthritis and do not enjoy unscrewing a cap with my my aching hands. I also have a bit of trouble hanging onto things, and have already dropped the cap a couple of times and had to get down on my knees to retrieve it from where it had rolled. Also, it is hard to pour just a small amount because the bottle opening is too large. Maybe nobody else would care about this, but I am just letting you know. BOTTOM LINE: This product is almost perfect.

Great for my puppy!
Success! I got this product and was intensely wishing that my 1 year old Yorkipoo puppy would like it. I've gone through 2 different toothpastes and she likes them for a short time and after that does not like it and hides from brushing. Greenies are great and she looks forward to her daily dental chew, but we needed something more to keep her dental health optimum. My vet's office recommended a water additive and so I thought: "why not?" However, after 2 toothpastes, multiple toothbrushes, I wanted something that would work permanently. I gave her a half cap of this additive and it seems like she didn't even notice it. Perfect! She is an avid water drinker so seeing her get her additive in is great. I like that this product is all natural and organic, because even IF it didn't work, at least she is getting some valuable nutrients and freshened breath. I don't have to worry about harmful chemicals to her little mouth and digestive system. Would definitely recommend!

Awful!!
I followed the directions, I put a capful in 8 oz of water in their feeding bowl and my precious Chihuahua got a really bad reaction on his bum, and he was having a hard time walking because his back legs kept wanting to give out. I immediately changed his water to fresh water and I dumped the Mad About Organics Oral Care in the sink drain. Please be careful in wanting to buy this.

Works with adjusted dose
This product seems effective but the recommended concentration may be too strong for small dogs (or any dog). Don’t forget dogs’ sense of smell is much stronger than ours. If we find the odor to be strong and pungent, it is going to be an order of magnitude worse for them. I keep the dose much lower than what they recommend – – about 1/8 of the capful for 16 ounces of water. You may want to start low and move it toward the recommendation until your dog objects. I mix up a fresh batch every time I change their water. It helps with bad breath with safe ingredients. But, I don’t yet know if this helps keep my Pomeranians teeth clean—only time will tell. Adult dog and six-month-old puppy do not seem to mind the taste as long as I keep it dilute.
