PROS - like new, excellent condition , i usually buy size XL in jackets so i purchased this in XL, its a little bigger as its designed to fit a liner underneath so i can easily wear it over a fleece .all poppers and zips work as they should and good sized pocketsCONS - sleeves could be an inch longer , they cover the wrist but do not come over top of hand not too short but a little shorter than other jackets.will need a wash , these are clean but have the usual long term storage smell.overall i am very happy with the parka and intend to buy another if XL comes back into stock

As advertised this jacket was in brand new condition. It arrived well within the stated time limits and was well packed. I was concerned about the sizes of the jacket bearing in mind that it was German sizing. To that extent the comments made by previous purchasers were essential reading and extremely helpful in ordering the correct size of garment. In order to help others who may wish to purchase a similar item I provide the following information. I bought this jacket for general hillwalking in dry, windy conditions and wild life photography. It is not waterproofed but I suppose that this could be achieved if necessary by the application of a spray from any camping equipment store. The jacket itself is well made with a strong main zip on the front of the jacket which has press studs to reinforce security . The jacket is long and reaches to just above the knees ('car coat' length). I would not be put off by this as it is obviously designed to be highly flexible, practical and to protect the thighs in inclement weather conditions. The main zip extends to the level of your belt line which is quite handy as although there is extra length from the waste area to overall length, practical access to trouser pockets benefits and allows free movement of your legs. There is plenty of deep external; and internal pockets to satisfy those who wish to carry personal items, maps camera equipment etc. For the benefit of those wishing to size a garment the following may be of use. I am five foot eleven inches tall with a forty six inch chest and a thirty seven inch waist and with reference to other subscribers I went for a 2x-large sized jacket. I have found that this is a good fit that it allows easy movement and sufficient room to wear a fleece or thick sweat shirt underneath. My wife states that it is not much of a fashion statement and that I won' be wearing it whilst out with her. I see this however as an added and unintentional benefit. All kidding aside I would highly recommend this garment in this new condition and at this price and look forward to extending my flecktarn collection.

I bought this for dog walking, the flecktarn and German flags are amazing as always. I'm hoping to waterproof this jacket with some solution.

Quality of the jacket is very good. Only one zip pocket on one side( a bit disappointed, the two would be much better! That's why I am rating it 4 stars)I use it for outdoor ( walking or gardening). . And is unisex for both genders to wear.( I am 5'7 tall ,slim and XS size just fit me perfectly with plenty of room to dress up underneath,when is colder)I would recommend to buy from this company. This is called battle dress uniform or BDU but I call it full German business dress as you feel as if you are representing a great nation on a UN peacekeeping mission unless you remove the flags as I have because patriots and liberals object and it does look a bit over the top. You could call it power dressing. On a more practical level, the jacket is very well made with loads of pockets and looks quite cool with its camouflage pattern and hood. My only complaint is that the zip does not go all the way down to the bottom.

The jacket arrived early and when opened i thought at first it was brand new , the quality was that good. I got the x large version and the sleeves are a fraction short but not a real problem. It is big enough to fit a warm jumper or similar underneath in winter which is perfect for me. Have not tried it in the wet yet so cannot comment on how waterproof it is ,but confident a good wash in waterproofing treatment would cure any problems if necessary. Would certainly recommend.

Only just received it but looks and feels good quality. Bought it for Airsoft outdoors. The sizing is very confusing and on arrival it was a bit on the large side. Having said that a thick military jumper under it improves the fit and will keep you nice and warm in the cold weather

I'm 6'1", 190lbs, 42-44" chest, 32" waist. GR14 size fits me okay, spaceous arms but looks great because you can narrow the waist with the waist cords.It's unused, colours vibrant (they do get bland within long use/washes, like all clothes), zips and everything are superb.Now you can get these everywhere, for cheaper as well, but to me, a few pounds extra for an unused/unissued one is nice.
