I ordered these tubs for my classroom, first shipment arrived with multiple broken lids -- returned for a new set.The second set also arrived with a broken lid, same issue on the corner of the lids.Not sure if the shipping packaging is to blame or if it is the quality of the product.I would like to do another return but I simply don't have time to wait as I need the tubs for storing student work this week.I have always know Rubbermaid to be a quality product, wish I could say the same about these tubs.

Are these Chinese fakes or has Rubbermaid really fallen in quality?The plastic bins are NOT well shaped, you can clearly see and feel where they "cut" off the excess.Lids don't seal tight, there is a large gap between the edges when snapping the lid on.One of my bins is MISSING a blue snap, making it unusable.The blue snaps are also extremely poorly fitted. They snap up way too close to the bin making it difficult to get over the lid.And many other defects that make this product THE WORST.

I bought this same product from a store several years ago so I'm able to compare it with these new ones. Sadly, like many things, quality has gone down while the price went up. The plastic is much thinner and more brittle. Two of the bins had cracks, one handle was shattered, and one lid just will not fit. Right out of the box. It seems wasteful to return the entire set when really only the broken handle and warped lid are the only issue I'd rather not have. The cracks don't interfere with how I will use them but I can certainly see it being an issue.These also do not measure what's indicated in the post. I don't think the little nubs at the corners are accounted for. I had hoped to use two under the couch, so I'd measured and these should have fit perfectly, but they're about 1/2" to tall. I can still shove them under the bed, I'm just annoyed I couldn't use them as I'd hoped.I would not purchase these again online, and if the ones in stores are the same quality as these I wouldn't buy them there either. Pretty disappointed, Rubbermaid used to offer much better products. Their quality is no longer justifying the price.

We ordered a six pack of these storage containers, and received them on time, and they were typical Rubbermaid quality, which is very good. But, as we got to the last two containers, we found that the small black handles on the lids (which will lock the lids) were missing, one each missing on two lids. We followed instructions and sent an email to RubberMaid. We got an immediate response email saying they got our message and would get right back to us. After waiting for a response for 10 days, we wrote again. Same process, response email and then silence. They have not bothered to let us know anything further. so, we have 4 containers we can use instead of 6. Very Poor Support!

I got these really fast, was glad to get them as I use them for putting art projects in to dry. The only thing, the reason for only 3 stars, was that when I began unboxing these, half of them looked like they'd been used or at least stored in a very dirty area. Dust and debris in them, the bottoms of several of them looked like they'd been ran across a black belt of some kind, very dirty. Several of them were also scratched up, which led me to wonder if they'd been used previously. For what I paid, I expected something that looked new and clean, which is really important for the type of projects I am doing and needed these for. I need completely clean containers. So I was disappointed to see them in the condition they were. The only reason I'm keeping them is I can use them for other things. Just disappointed in the original appearance.

One corner of one of the containers was broken during shipment, and several others (and the lids) had minor cracks on the same corner. The broken one had sharp plastic that could have easily cut a finger or hand, but I taped it up so maybe it will hold.Unfortunately, I didn't notice the damage until I had already thrown out the packing boxes. There was no noticeable damage to the boxes, so it appears that the containers had received a hard bump somewhere in the shipping process.These containers are made from a plastic that is a bit too hard. A softer, slightly heavier plastic would make them more sturdy and durable.

I can understand breaking in transit but one of the latches was not even in the box. And it doesn't look like it's possible to get just a latch sent to me so I can pop it in and use the box. And it's part of an expensive set so now I have to send the entire set back, bulky, PIA for sure. And all the things that were going into the boxes will be in disarray a few more weeks delaying my project schedule. Frustrating that there's not even a chatbot to ask or number to call. I just need one latch. And I marked low for sturdy/durable/thick because they are far flimsier than I expected. They don't seal well because of that and no latches on the long sides, just one at each end. But I like the dimensions so I'm going to stick with this model. The dimensions are perfect for my needs.

I love this containers. However, I received 2 that were cracked at the corners. So basically only got 4 containers that will be suitable for storage. I thought I would try to return the two. However, I believe that the company will try and make me return all six to get a replacement or refund. :(. So disappointed that two were cracked :(

These are not the Rubbermaid bins you knew and loved 10 years ago. They are thin and flimsy. The first set arrived quite smashed, and there was a damaged lid in the second shipment. Don’t bank on the brand name: any cheap container of the same dimensions will be as good.
