my chinchilla hates this, i don't know what to do? He just avoids all pellets from this, and eats only from Kaytee. Anybody got an idea what to do?

My 2 chinchillas (Reni and Bean) WILL NOT eat pellets either. They have high dollar eating, but they love the Kaytee Fiesta Chinchilla Food (2.5 lb) and the Tiny Friends Charlie Chinchilla Food (2 lb). That's the only size I've found in this food. It's kinda expensive, but my babies are worth it. I figure if I was to buy the pellets, it would be a waste of money because they won't touch them. The ones I mentioned above have extra food items in them that they like. Good luck with finding the perfect food for them. Mine are picky. Mine also loves the Oxbow Freeze Dried Strawberry Treats and Vitakraft Drops with Dandelion Treats.

Approximately how many cups of food are in the 25lb of pellets?

I'm not sure how many cups but I have 2 chinchillas and this fills their food bin for months at a time. I've bought 2 bags over the past 1.5 years or so and they still have a lot left. They free feed I might add, bowls are always full. And they eat a lot. They're little piggies!
