Starts strong but fades quickly. Do not buy.
Starts off strong, but fades quickly. We’ve had this unit 6 months and now get no channels, despite playing with the gain. We started with at least 50. Channels started dropping one by one. We replaced an old Mohu Sky with this unit. Frustrating waste of money. We are in the north metro Denver area of Colorado at the start of the plains and the transmitters are on a mountain. There’s no reason an antenna shouldn’t capture a signal from our location.

It works
I got all the basic important stations CBS, ABC & NBC which I wasn't getting CBS at all before! I'm not far away from towers but I live in NYC midtown east by the United Nations & have always struggled to get these channels & never really got CBS! I got a bunch of others too but those were ones I wanted the most. I do not have cable. I've had this for about a month now & I've noticed sometimes I lose NBC. I'll adjust the amplifier & rescan to get it back but it's strong sometimes then not strong at others, not sure why.I'm on the 5th floor but I'm facing buildings behind me. I also have this in a window because you can't put antennas outside on the wall. Not sure it would make any difference if I could actually. So my antenna is facing North. Hope that helps anyone looking at these reviews who live in Manhattan. It works better than my last one which was flat & was stuck to my window but it also had an anplifer too, never got CBS. I was also starting to lose NBC when I finally decided to spend the money on something that would actually work. It was also easy to put together & it's not heavy to handle. I just stuck the bottom on it, screwed in those poles that stick out from the sides & plugged in the rest, piece of cake!

Above my performance expectations
I have been trying a couple of flat indoor antenna with little success with all of my local channels. Many had medium to low signal levels. I installed this internal antenna at the same locations and the amount of channels being detected and also the stations that were of low to medium quality are all much higher. I do not have any hills or other obstructions but my location is quite a distance to the antenna of around 40 miles. So far, very impressed with the performance of this antenna. It is a larger size antenna compared to the flat antenna.

best reception yet!
I have used several different antennas for my TV - I have never owned cable. Most antennas (my latest was a thin "leaf" design with a booster attached) were OK but received few channels and were subject to loss of signal, especially since I live near a small airport. Planes, helicopters, and even the wind would often interrupt the signal. I tried the Antop model using the table mount near a small window that faces the broadcast towers near me. All towers are located within 18 miles of my house. The table location received 21 channels, not all clearly; the leaf antenna had gotten a lot more. So I moved the antenna to a glass door facing the towers; that got me 36 channels. Then I tried the antenna on top of a 6-foot ladder near the door; that received 28 channels. I decided to move the antenna up onto a storage area in my garage, about 10 feet off the floor, aimed at the towers and through the side of the garage. That got 55 channels! Not all those channels are interesting, but I can't blame the antenna for that... Reception has been rock-solid, with no interference from planes or wind so far. Very pleased with this purchase and will recommend it to others. One problem, though: I ran coax cable from the back of my Bose Wave IV radio, through the garage, and back through the wall to connect to the booster. But the supplied connection to my radio does not work. The ANTOP AT-719 looks like it should fit, but the metal base keeps the contact from meshing with the radio. Is there another connection like the AT-719 that has a shorter metal jacket? Can I cut the jacket down about 1/4" and try that? Other than this problem, I am very pleased with the Antop AT-800SBS.

Antenna works well
I ordered white cables and components but received Black. Would appreciate you send correct White cables. This new Antenna works well. With another brand indoor antenna we could receive 27 channels but because of the drop outs and distortion many were not viewable. This new indoor antenna pulls in 70 channels many of which we will not watch but the picture is clear with minimal distortion. Overall pleased with this purchase

Just removed it from the box, put it on top of my fridge and cranked up the boost
This thing works as advertised, getting stations 75 miles away from Jacksonville to Melbourne. I tried it first behind the TV, got 14 channels. Put on top of the fridge next to the window, jumped up to 75 channels most 720p but a few 1080i. I would like to try it with an atsc 3.0 tuner as some local channels are now broadcasting 4k. Overall good purchase. No reason to install outside.
