Excellent cable for home lab!
Rhino cables have been my go to for cables for a little while when it comes to networking that I can trust. These cables here are no different. The cables themselves are really robust, they are thicker than some normal ethernet cables I have had in the past but feel super durable in hand. These will be perfect for somewhere that has a high traffic and you need that extract strength. The cable has been perfect for setting up a connection between my home VM server and my main computer. It has allowed me to have a direct connection to it, rather than sticking it on my network. As my main computer has two network interfaces this has made it super simple to make this connection. The speed has been perfect throughout and the cable has felt durable throughout my unplugging, replugging while I am testing connection settings in a home lab environment.Overall, for £4.99, this is a nicely made connection with a nice feel to it and decent build quality to back it up. 5/5!

Maybe old fashioned but still useful.
Review of Rhinocables CAT6 Crossover Ethernet Network Cable. As found before Rhinocables are well manufactured and normally reliable, this Cat6 Ethernet cable displays the same well made attributes. The three meter cable ordered to connect my two older desktop PC's together via their network interfaces so as they may communicate directly avoiding internet usage and the security problems that can present, having previously used this method of transfer for many years this Cat 6 cable offers higher transfer rates which is good as my backups include significantly larger amounts of data. The cable is crossover wired to the TIA/EIA 568-B or 1000Base-T standard which uses all four pairs for transmission and reception to provide the 1000M higher speed of transfer but is also backward compatible with 100M and 10M transfer.Whilst crossover cables are now mostly redundant thanks to auto sensing (MDI-X) on modern computers a lot of business users still have older desktop PC's fitted with network cards that can be connected together via crossover cables for secure data transfers and Intranet, this cable well made and robust so hopefully will work until my desktop PC expires.

Good Quality CAT6 Crossover Cable
Ethernet crossover cables can be used to connect two PCs together, without a hub or switch. The transmit pair (1 & 2) of the first computer is cross-wired to the receive pair (3 & 6) of the second computer, and vice-versa. This CAT6 crossover cable, is wired to the TIA/EIA 568B standard, so (4 & 5) and (7 & 8) are also cross-wired. The ‘uplink’ port on a hub or switch would also have needed a crossover cable (prior to crossover switches and auto-detect).This 2m Rhino branded cable, has a smooth outer sheath, it’s flexible, and the RJ45 plugs have good strain reliefs. My only complaint, is that there’s nothing to protect the retaining latch, which can so easily snag on things when being routed (and break off!).Whilst a cross-over cable may not be required so much in networking applications these days, it’s handy to have one in your laptop bag, in case you ever want to transfer data directly between two PCs. For Windows, you should enable ‘SMB 1.0 CIFS File-Sharing-Support‘, via Control Panel (‘Turn Windows Features On or Off’), then use ‘Public’ folders to transfer files. So, if you need a crossover cable, then there’s nothing wrong with this one. It’s a good quality cable, and a handy length. And, some people don’t like protectors/boots on RJ45 plugs, as it can make the cable difficult to unplug (especially on a congested patch panel), so this cable could be just what you are looking for!

Cable works perfectly. Seems strong and robust
Great cable. I ordered this as I needed a shorter cable in my office. And this seems very aesthetically appealing and strong. It does not feel like it’s going to break in a matter of days. A good quality wire. Seems to work very well and the speed is decent.
