True Utility TU918 Cliplite, Rechargeable Light with Keyring Clip, Four Light Modes, Cowhide Leather, Titanium Coated Stainless Steel, One Size, Black, 11 cm

The True Utility Cliplite is a sturdy, well built little clip on keychain with an excellent flashlight (torch) on it that doesn't break the bank. The finish is excellent, the leather feels both authentic and premium. One end clips onto a belt loop on your jeans and the other end is for keys. The light has four settings, all accessable through the single button on the back. The functions are 1: first press of the button turns on a low white light; 2: second press of the button switches to max white light; 3: third press of the button switches to a decent red coloured light; and 4: a long press at any time, either from off or in another light mode, will turn on the blinking red light function. (Turned off by pressing the button again once). The light can be recharged using a standard microusb cable (provided). Conclusion: an excellent EDC keyring with a well built light on it which is excellent for the purpose intended. While it won't replace a proper sized torch, it will prove to be an indispensable piece of everyday carry. I highly recommend it.

The ring's larger diameter of this Cliplight not only holds a massive bunch of keys if need be, but that its COB light conveniently illuminates the door lock because it's comfortably positioned right under my thumb. A deft twist of the key and I'm inside the house while my other hand is holding the shopping. I also appreciate the Cliplite's key fob is made from premium cow hide. It smells good, too. And the light switch toggles from low beam > high beam > into red, thus allowing better night vision, or the switch can be held down to flash red in an emergency: it's very noticeable. The stainless steel key ring is 420 stainless steel and coated with titanium, increasing scratch resistance. The carabiner is reassuringly stiff as is the entire key fob. A sturdy USB charging cable was supplied. I like its short flat cable, too. The Cliplight came impressively packaged. It would make a first class present. Very recommended.

I could not find any reviews for this item, even the makers own website is light on some details, so I thought I would give my thoughts. This feels like a solidly built piece of kit. There is metal housing around the COB (chip on board) LED and it is embedded into the surrounding metal plate, which should protect it nicely from knocks and falls. The quick release sprung gate also feels solid enough to survive some minor abuse, does not look like it will break off any time soon. The best aspect of this item is that you can hold your key and the keyring hangs down freely, nicely illuminating the keyhole. I have used a small penlight before and have had to try and point the light at the keyhole and try and get the key in at the same time; all a bit ham-fisted! Even on the lowest setting this is a bright light. This will throw light a good distance and illuminate a room well enough to find anything you happen to be looking for in the middle of the night. Now, the only gripe I have is that you have to cycle through all of the settings to eventually turn the light off. But having said that the rubber power switch operates with a reassuring click and quickly clicking through the light settings is no real chore. I have docked one star for this aspect however. It is a new purchase, so will be interested to see how it holds up through daily domestic use/abuse.

Very sturdy and casts a bright light for evening walks and general use after dark. Could easily dazzle ne'er-do-wells who may be attracted to one's valuables. The main benefit is its rechargeablity which should last for a few years depending on the quality of the internal battery. It's not clear as to whether this can be replaced, there are four small screws which may provide access ... The keyring/light has two constant white light modes of different brightness and two red light options - one constant and one flashing. It would be interesting to see how far away this is still visible. I swapped the existing keyring for a lighter one as it took a lot of persuasion/strength to get keys onto the one supplied. The only improvement I would suggest is to add a magnet so it can stick to steel surfaces. Designed in the UK but made in China.

It's OK Nice and bright, need to sort out your clothing so it lays flat. It's expensive for what it is.

Molto contento per la praticità. Facile trovare il tasto di accensione e luce abbastanza potente sia per trovare la serratura che anche salire le scale condominiali al buio. Io la uso anche per camminare a bordo strada quando vado a prendere l'auto, non tanto per illuminare dove cammino ma per farmi vedere dalle auto che sopraggiungono.

Die Bilder passen, die Beschreibung leider nicht. Was bekommt man hier für 30 € ? Man bekommt einen "schlappen" Karabiner-Haken mit 4-fach einstellbarer LED-Beleuchtung, ein wenig Leder und einen Schlüssel-Ring + ein etwa 5 cm langes USB-Kabel. Alle anderen Funktionalitäten habe ich leider nicht gefunden. Sorry, aber das Geld hätte ich lieber verbrannt. Für das Produkt wären wahrscheinlich 5 € meine Schmerzgrenze, mir gefällt allerdings die Beleuchtung und die Möglichkeit, diese per USB-Schnittstelle wieder zu laden. Deshalb werde ich das Teil behalten, nachdem meine "Träne" getrocknet ist. Mein Tipp...Solange was von "Werkzeuge" in der Beschreibung steht, kann ich nur dazu raten, die Finger davon zu lassen, auch wenn die Lieferung zügig und einwandfrei war. Update vom 13.10.2019: Der Preis wurde um 10 € gesenkt und die Produktbeschreibung wurde angepasst. Die jetzt beschriebenen Funktionalitäten kann ich bestätigen. Die Beschreibung passte jetzt tatsächlich zum Produkt. Update vom 16.12.2019: Der Preis ist immer noch gesenkt, aber die Beschreibung ist wieder falsch...schade eigentlich !
