With two out of four of our offspring living abroad, I have become a tiny bit obsessed with the weight of stationery compared to the cost of postage, since just a couple of grams, or even one, can push your snail mail into the next price group with Royal Mail and postage becomes a significant monthly spend. These are the iconic Basildon Bond envelopes to match their Air Mail paper - really lightweight, but good quality and strong and a gummed seal which actually sticks. If you are a prolific letter writer, then these really are a boon.

For those of us who still write letters it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find quality stationery. My usual place to buy was obviously closed during covid so had to source another option. Great quality stuff. Would buy again

These are exactly like the old fashioned air mail envelopes we used to find . Now only available on Amazon it seems. Perfect if like me you have pen pals who live overseas. My only complaint is that they could be a little longer so you can fold A4 paper more easily to fit. But fine to standard size writing paper.

Great quality but a bit expensive, bought to match the paper that we already had.
