Polk AudioRC80i 2-way Premium In-Ceiling 8" Round Speakers (Set of 2) and PSW10 10" Powered Subwoofer

I put 3 pairs of the RC 80i’s and one center channel in the basement. The speakers install easily as long as you take your time. I painted the grills to match the walls. They are larger than I expected, but they will fill any area with sound. As you can expect from Polk Audio, very clear even if you turn up the volume.

Firstly the reality is that fitting speakers into a ceiling of a kitchen is clearly not an audiophile act and I don't expect that level of musical quality. With that caveat in mind what I can say is that these are great for the application I used them for. Sound quality is excellent and far louder than I'll use in normal day to day usage. They are discrete and almost flush which was a pre-requisit given that my kitchen is fairly low in height.The build quality is high and they have a nice 'weightiness' about them that suggests this. Of course Polk is a well known good quality brand and I expected nothing less.I use these with a middling TEAC multizone amp and really can't complain given the price and installation.
