Colour barely shows and makes hair greasy. Look from other products.

My little girl has blonde hair and this barely stains her hair and makes it greasy. Not a great product. Adding to this after my initial review. Took it out of the comb and works much better. The product is very greasy however so left her hair very tacky. Like putting a cream into her hair.

Really impressed with the product. Was a bit unsure as it was a cheaper option. My son has blonde hair. We followed the instructions by dampening the hair first. We did spike his hair with some styling wax which may have helped the colour stick. We removed the colour from the combs and used them like a crayon to colour the hair. It washed out very easily with shampoo which surprised me and didn’t stain his skin. Will definitely recommend and use it again.

Followed all instructions and struggled to get colour out of half of them and the few we did get colour from it wasn't as bright as we'd hoped. My daughter's hair is a fair brown with golden streaks so not that dark. Also my hands were completely covered in chalk. Not worth it again for me.

Bought as a gift so I can't comment on how well they work. However they come in nicely presented packaging with a good variety of colours.

This is the stuff of the devil. I bought it to dress up my 4 year old, who has ash blond hair, for Halloween “Easy to use” I tried repeatedly running the ‘combs’ through his hair with no results whatsoever. Wet or dry made no difference. I had to remove the ‘chalks’ which are more like clay from their combs and rub them on his scalp by hand to have any result and it was nowhere near as bright as seen in the photos. He ended up with a swampy, mermaidish colour rather than the rainbow hair he wanted. That was the least of my worries. “Easy to clean” The pack says wash out, blond hair may take two washes. Four washes later with every variety of soap and shampoo in the house tried his beautiful blond hair is still green and I am faced with either shaving it off or sending him to school looking like the hulk. I am NOT pleased.

This was a present for our niece. She's had chalk for hair before but not of this quality. The colors are varied and true to color. They show up on hair with a vibrant hue. It actually colors even darker hair really well. It washes out of fabrics easily. She happily added color to her hair, mine, her mom's, her uncle's and her little brothers lol dad wouldn't cooperate :) and all of us could clearly see color in our hair. Range of hair was dark brown to very light blonde. The color brushes fit well in a child's hands and they are as simple to use as a regular comb or brush. She has used these several times and they are holding up really well; not crumbling and don't seem to use alot up. I would guess these would last several month's at least even with weekly use. I would note that on super light blonde hair like her little brother's and very light gray/silver like grandma's it will take two shampoos to remove color completely. Based on quality, ease of use, selection of colors and their vibrancy I would highly recommend this set for anyone that wants to add temporary colors to their hair; whatever their age. I have several 20 somethings that report to me at work and regularly have various streaks of bright colors in their hair, I recommended these and 2 of the girls bought them and love them. If our niece's interest remains in coloring her hair I'd buy her another set if these once the 1st oneis used up without a 2nd thought.

Color Doesn’t show on brown hair

Worst hair chalk I’ve ever used. Made my hair look and feel so disgustingly greasy. Hard to apply, hard to remove, very tiny and overpriced. Don’t buy.

I bought this hair chalk to help turn my horse into a unicorn. It works Great! The fact that horse hair is a lot coarser than human hair means that it uses the chalk up faster, but it looked wonderful and stayed in for several days. I’m not sure my male horse appreciated having a purple tail, but he’s pretty secure with his masculinity so I think it was fine.
