DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!
I got the kit, and as advertised, it does contain what you theoretically need to make this repair. I'm a very handy person, and have tinkered inside computers and electronics for years, though I have never tried to do anything with an iPhone. I thought with this kit, I'd have everything I need.However.The plastic tools they include to pry and open the phone are nowhere near what they need to be. From what I can see in YouTube videos, the pros use long flat metal tools to apply gentle even pressure underneath the screen to break the waterproof adhesive seal and lift the screen up. When you try to use the tools provided, they bend and crimp, and parts even break off and stick. Then, if you aren't amazingly careful (and I say this because I WAS amazingly careful, I thought), you break the screen. Which is what happened to me.So. $19 later, I have an iPhone with no new battery in it, and a broken screen that I never got off. Save yourself the $19, and bring it to a pro if you're going to have the battery replaced, or you'll be bringing it to a pro for a battery AND a screen.I can't say if the battery works as advertised, because it never made it into my now broken phone.

It’s okay
It doesn’t come with adhesive to replace around the screen, if your iPhone have never been open the prying tools will not work they will break at the end or you will break your screen. The instructions given is a waist of time it makes you remove unnecessary parts. First time installing a iPhone battery, I’m not a tech. I started to follow their instructions when I got stuck trying to open the screen I went to YouTube to open a stuck screen. Then I continued with their instructions again and was stuck at the battery removing the adhesive so I returned back to YouTube to realize all the extra parts I removed following the instructions was uncalled for so I continue with YouTube and installed the batter, replaced the parts and put the phone to full charge. Only thing now is to see how long the battery last.

Seems to be a hit or miss based on reviews
Installed the battery and it didn't work at all. Had to install my old battery back..... plastic to remove the screen is very soft so you might need to have extra heat to remove the screen seal or use other tools (like I did). I can't ship back damaged batteries but amazon made it right. I'll just go to an Apple store and spend the extra $20.

Tools broke and bad customer service
The tools didn’t work, they broke, the instructions weren’t clear and didn’t work. When I reached out they wouldn’t just give me my $8 back they said I had to buy another battery and they would refund one of the batteries so in the long run it was a waste of time.

Decent battery
I’ve had this installed for about 4 months and it seems to be near death. The battery worked great for 4 months then had a couple unexpected shutdowns (I assume sudden voltage drop) and since the battery life is lucky to get an hour of screen on time.Update:Upon opening phone, the battery connection seemed to have worked itself loose and may have been causing the problems I had been experiencing. While phone was open I replaced the battery to be sure

You pay for what get
The battery takes forever to charge and once fully charged it only lasts about an hour movie on Amazon.

Great product!
Although swapping the battery in my iPhone 7 was not easy, I’m so glad I did! A battery store wanted $80 to swap batteries; I paid $25. My phone is like new again!

Issues with the product
Installed a week ago today. It was perfect and now I am having issues. Battery life shows “SERVICE” and it dies at 22% or less.
