Great taste! Seems to keep well.
These are so good! I love them on salads and an occasional pizza. I do prefer the whole ones, but try to not overly spend on indulgences (which I consider this to be). Less salty than the whole ones. I keep the container in the fridge and it they seem to last a long time (am testing that theory out, as I have gobbled up the previous olives up in no time).

Get your 5 servings a day!
Not of olives alone! Make old recipes more interesting. Use these to help eat 5 (half cup servings) of fruits and veggies. Add a tablespoon or 2 per serving to fresh/fresh frozen veggies to make the more interesting and tasty. Delicious in salad! If you usually add salt to veggies, skip it, these are salty! Olives are high in fat and salt, so use as a condiment/spice food. Rinse and drain to remove more oil and salt, if you wish. Also great in whole grains, toss them with steamed rice, buckwheat, quinoa, etc. These are high quality and tasty. Having them already sliced makes using them quick and easy. Well worth buying sliced instead of whole! You will find many uses!

Flavorful, Good Value, but Too Salty for Some Uses
These olives are packed well, flavorful, and a great value for the quantity. Prepare to exert some patience when removing the plastic insert you'll find when you first remove the lid. It's difficult to eat many of these olive slices on their own because as others have mentioned, they're far too salty. Some olive producers recommend rinsing their olives before use, but IMO rinsing less-than-whole olives is just gross, and good olive brine adds a lot of extra flavor. I use these almost exclusively as an ingredient in various recipes, so they do work for me; I simply reduce the added salt content of the dish to compensate accordingly. Another reviewer wrote that the slices are "canoe shaped" - They're actually perpendicularly (to the stone) sliced rings. -I've attached a pic for size and shape reference. Like many Roland products, this item came with no obvious production date, best-by date, or expiration date. There is an obscure, coded stick-on label on the side of the container which requires you to do some online sleuthing if you want to figure out what the codes mean. After a few minutes of searching online (the link offered in the product description doesn't work), I found no specific chart online for this exact product; I did find another Roland chart which seemed to properly decipher the production date (6-ish months before purchase) , but I gave up trying to decode two other sets of numbers on the tag. I find this practice by food suppliers annoying at best, shady at worst. I removed one star for the excessive saltiness of the olives which limits their use, and for the iffy shelf-life info of the labeling.

Disappointing flavor.
I'm a big fan of Kalamata olives, but the flavor of these was very disappointing. The quantity and price seemed attractive, but in the end most of these will go into the trash.

A must for lovers of Mediterranean food.
This was such a wise purchase. No more slicing my olives and they are delicious!

Tasty, small slices, Salty
I've tasted better kalamatas from stores, such as Pearls from California, these are good, very salty brine so they're better when drained, or even rinsed. But they're sliced into small pieces. I scoop up a tablespoon, wet olives but no liquid, pita or flatbread and extra sharp cheddar, pretty tasty, or just eat them with bread. I have eaten olives for breakfast for 60+ years and sadly, the KING of Olives, the best I ever tasted, the Alfonso from Lombardi Farms in Chile, are all gone, the trees were killed and replaced with lemon trees, more money. Do not buy Krinos alfonsos from Peru, they're nasty, small, and the brine is foul, I would not eat them if free. These are a good value, but b grade sliced olives are going to be cheaper, all things considered these are a decent value by today's prices. I used to buy 26 lb. dry weight buckets, 5 gallons, from Lombardi, for $90! Free pickup at local importer, with seeds. Olives that still contain seeds are always going to be better - firmer, fresher tasting, and they don't soak up as much brine. The brine here is good just too much salt, they should reduce the salt! Easy fix, saves them money, they won't spoil. I store mine in a water, olive oil mix with no refrigeration, they last a year, add a lemon wedge, but these need to be refrigerated because they're tiny pieces.

Long term customer
I have purchased this brand for years and realize that I have never written a review. My family loves them. We have them set up on the auto order so we don't run out. Great flavor. Great in salad and pizza! I love them in my pasta sauce.
