Great for super chewers - 3 months later, still a winner!
Update: still love! We have now had this bone for 3 months. It is still in great shape and the dogs still love it! We had to buy a second one to keep both dogs happy. It is chewed every day by a very aggressive chewer and it is holding up very well. No problem with chunks coming off or upset tummies. Absolute best I have ever seen for an aggressive chewer (talking to you, my pittie and lab friends!)Original review: Love these bones!! I have super chewers in my house. They can destroy anything, including toys marketed to aggressive chewers, to the point where I am nervous leaving hard toys with them for fear they will chomp off chunks and swallow them. Flip side of problem - some of the few durable toys that will survive them and are safe are not interesting to them, including most flavored nylon or rubber bones.Enter the BarkBone! We have used this is our house and purchased it for friends and everyone (dogs and humans) is a fan. The dogs go back to them every day. The constant chewing does wear them down slightly, but only very slightly. No large pieces come off so there is no worry about chunks, choking or $800 stomach surgeries. Love this product and will continue to purchase. PS - dogs we have tested it on are mixes of Pit Bull, Collie, German Shephard, Ridgeback, Boxer, Lab and Hound.

So far so good
I got this for our German Shepard Puppy she's about 30 pounds and has been rather destructive with things, shes not a strong chewer she just chews for a long time which damages anything she can manage to chew on. I kinda wanted to get her something she could spend some energy on instead of door frames ... at first it was great it held up well but about 3 hours in it was showing damage and I was concerned she may quickly destroy the toy bone but surprisingly enough she never puts it down and the damage has all been minor. She will chew on it for hours at a time but it's all mostly visual damage which is nice as I was really questioning the durability after her first few hours but it's held up relatively well over the last week with her spending several hours on it at times. I wouldn't say shes in love with the toy and we can't separate them but she still goes for it regularly and uses it for a good bit. Shes kinda rounded off the corners but not taken anything off it if you can understand what I'm trying to say, all in all I'm pleased and shes enjoyed it for the last week.

Dogs love this durable chew
A huge hit with all of the pittie mixes we’ve had. The need to chew is strong but so is this bone! They can make tooth marks but can’t break the bone. For some reason they really love it, maybe the smell? It’s barely minty and I can’t imagine that’s the draw to them. More like it makes it less stinky for me if I have to pick it up and move it. Anyway they have all loved it.

Watch out if its in the Heat
We live in the desert, and it's heating up.So when I got it out of the package, it was sticky, slimy and felt really gross & weird. The hot weather and being stuck in a delivery van for hours did not help it!I had to soap and water wash and then stick it in the freezer for 1/2 hour before I'd even dream of giving it to my dog.Aside from all that, my dog LOVES it!

Husky and pitbull approved
I have two heavy chewers so purchased two. Later, I purchased two more and it seems to be a continuing trend as these seem to be a favorite. The husky being the most aggressive. There is absolutely nothing this dog can not destroy. Except for this. She chews, and chews and chews and then at 2 am in the morning, she gets it and lays next to us in bed chewing some more. She will knawel on these until they are nubs. Yes, it is heavy duty and it seems to last some time before she chews it down to a point that is not safe and can be swallowed. YES! She chews that much. Our dane/pit mix likes it as well. He is not much into toys but he does chew on this from time to time. When the grand dogs, (2 pits, 3 black labs, 1 golden retriever and 3 awesome big dogs we have no idea what they really are other than loved) they all go to the toy bin and pull these out. It seems to be a favorite around my house. WARNING: My lovely husky also likes to sneak her toys outside. These blend in very well with the ground and can be missed when picking up the yard before mowing. They WILL sound horrible when being alliterated by a mulching blade not to mention the damage to your mower.

BarkBone, Lego, or coffee table?
Once you've stubbed your little toe on this beast, you will no doubt begin an internal debate: was that worse than stepping on Lego's in the wee, small, hours; or was it worse than the last time you cracked your shin on the corner of the coffee table? It's a question for the ages....So about this chew toy: Big, heavy, sturdy. A good match for a Great Dane. I'm really not sure what it's made of, but while their teeth are definitely making an impression, the toy does not seem to be breaking down, after 3 full days of nearly constant gnawing.Apparently, they like the mint scent. They are drawn more strongly to this, than to a bacon scented chew toy.I think it will prove to be a good purchase. (To clarify: I like to see toys last for 3 months or more before they break down and need to be thrown out. I do believe my dogs will get at least 3 months worth of chewing out of this toy.)As with everything else, supervise your dog while they're chewing on toys. Do regular inspections of those toys and make sure the dog can't ingest pieces, or be injured by the toy.

More Hazard than Fun: Dog will be sad to see it go.
Let me start off with the positive: My pup loves this bone. He's a very aggressive chewer and most toys I cannot leave him with for fear of a choking accident, swallowing accident, or just seeing his bleeding gums. I'm frustrated to say the least. So I thought this might allow a welcome change. It doesn't :-(I thought this bone would be more chewy like a Kong or Goughnuts item, but with a nice attractive flavor that would keep my pup interested for hours. It's a hard bone. He manages to chew small bits off which didn't worry me so much (more about that later), but he leaves sharp bits that cut his gums. This morning, after yesterday's quick 3 sessions of about 10-20 minutes each with the bone, my pup threw up a bit with some green liquidy foamy vomit. I think he's okay, but the plastic seems to have upset his stomach. I won't be letting him chew on this for a bit.

Doesn’t smell bad, my dog likes it
My hard chewing corgi loves these bones. Especially the green ones for some reason. Just be careful, they get sharp after a while. This one was a little big for him but he still loves it. He will drag it around and chew on it. It doesn’t smell nasty like the meat flavored ones.

Super durable! 10/10
My dogs love this bone, it’s their favourite. They are large breed, aggressive chewers and we’ve had this for weeks. I think it’s almost ready for the trash, but they got a TON of chew time out of it. Usually bones last for a day (tops). I’ll buy again. Super impressed.

Resistente, mas sem Bacon...
Muito resistente e bom formato facilitando com que o cão segure o brinquedo, mas não tem cheiro de Bacon. Então, a cachorra não se interessou muito.
