Please don't laugh, but I'm a women looking for a 15 to 17 ft step ladder, does this suffice?

The max height of this Little Giant 17 as a step ladder is 7-8 feet. It is 17 feet when fully extended as an extension ladder. The other thing to bear in mind is it is a heavy ladder. The wheels do help when working on flat surfaces (indoor or out) as you can wheel it around. However, these will not help you much on rough ground or when you need to lift it (e.g. up/down stairs, loading it into car, storing it etc). It's a unisex product, so no one will laugh at you !

The Revolution is basically a newer version of the Classic with several updated features compared to the classic Little Giant Classic M26 (10126LG). The Revolution has quad-locking hinges, Rock Locks to lock the rungs (Rock-Locks are easier to use then the U-locks). The Revolution also has slightly deeper inner rungs for added standing comfort and is about 5 pounds lighter. They both reach the same height in their various configurations.

What is the maximum height when used in a scaffolding position?

For me, specifically relating to the 17' model (12017) I have used wide boards on the very top rungs.  Using a tape measure from the concrete floor in my shop to the top of the board going across, I have a height of 46-48 inches. I found this perfectly fine to use in this capacity, though it is NOT recommended by Little Giant or myself. I am probably stupid to do it...lol That said, I have never felt unsafe or in danger. Truthfully, I am very careful and cautious.
