Lisle 65800 Door Adjuster

This is a good tool used to adjust a vehicle door at the hinges. It works well and is easy to connect. I have used mine several times with good results

I saw a tool like this on social media and I bought the Lisle version because it's made in USA and Lisle makes great tools. My 90s Corvette door was just a tiny bit low, not from worn hinges but just slightly out of adjustment. I put this thing on it and gave a few tugs upward and the door closes perfectly now! What a great idea. If your door is just slightly off, this saves the hassle of messing with the hinges, which can quickly get out of control. Once you loosen hinge bolts, that door starts moving every which way, but this tool allows a little tweak without any unintended movements.

It was magic... Very heavy duty and worked out perfectly. I have a 1979 GMC K1500 that I had to use force to close the doors properly. I used this tool on each door and now they work like a new truck.

Nissan is notorious for have sagging doors.After dealing with slamming the car doors for years, I decided to check this out.I originally was looking at the Steck Manufacturing tool, but the primary vendor looked really suspect when you checked them out; there are cheap China copies that are around half the price that the "original" Steck tool is asking for.Yes, this Lisle tool is bulky (something the Steck tool likes to point out), but it's one-piece and can handle the abuse of being used over and over again.You don't need to crank on it - just a little at a time until the door closes nicely.The double ended stud came in handle, as my too came with the thicker stud installed.A 16mm semi-deep socket and it came right out - flipped it over (to the thinner stud) and I was ready to go.The stud is the part that goes into the door latch while the "fork" goes onto the door jamb catch.Literally a minute or two on each door (I needed to do 2 doors), and they were shutting without much fuss.It took me more time to figure out how to undo the door latch catch afterwards versus adjusting the door itself!

I work as an autobody tech, although we have several brands and style of this type of tool, when it comes time for me to get one out this is the one i grab for first! Its easy to use and a quality product with a great price. The seller was awesome, got me the tool earlier than expected and I am very happy to have one in my home tool box as well as my work tool box. I would recommend this tool and seller to anyone. I am very satisfied.

I replaced a creaky lower door hinge on my Grand Cherokee. I could not get the door aligned properly after that. I must have spent two hours, and I could get it close, but not quite right.Was thinking about taking it to the body shop, but then stumbled across the Lisle door adjuster. Decided to take a chance, since it was still a lot cheaper then a shop visit would have been.I loosened the lower bolts a little bit, not too much, but enough the hinge could be manipulated but still stay where you left it.Put the tool in place, lifted up on it a few times since my door was hitting too low. Carefully opened the door and tightened the bolts. And just like that, it was PERFECT!Literally 3 minutes and done. A M A Z I N G ! ! !

I also have the small version of a similar tool that you have to use a breaker bar with 19mm socket with it. Always makes me nervous when using it. Couldnt pass this tool up at this price!
