How do you attach the bikes? Do the bikes fit securely or should I order some bungee cords etc?

It has a small saddle type device with strap that is easy to put around bike frame and is attached to rack where cannot beTaken off....so not lost....when not in use....they fit very securely in this saddle and secure without any other cords...dhc
