I LOVE Victorinox! a bit thick for my pocket, consider a belt pouch...
This is a great Swiss Army Knife! I have owned many a Victorinox the last almost 50 years years or so from my early Boy Scout days! I am so happy now 50 years latter I can still buy the same "Fine Swiss watch grade" product I could buy years ago, sadly, not all things are still made with such craftsmanship but owning and using such a well made product early in life taught me true appreciation for "THE BEST" I feel any Victorinox is "THE BEST" but when deciding on the exact model knife to order can be tuff.I have a few specific tools that my knife must have! The large and short blade, I use both for everything and keep a knife on my desk at all time. The 2nd MUST have is the scissors. I use these sharper than sharp scissors for everything on my desk from cutting a tag off of clothing to a simple quick personal hygiene task.Another feature I must have on my knife is the saw blade. These small saw blades amaze me with how sharp it will stay with years of use! I have never found a better tool to as example, cut a quick hole in sheetrock to install a light switch. I find I also must have and use the screwdrivers, I prefer the round side mounted Phillips screwdriver on this specific model to many other offerings that the Phillips is on the end and not round. It's a personal preference as both Phillips design will work.I have always wanted a knife that was a bit more loaded with options, I would even love to have that one knife that has everything on it for the "cool factor" alone and was the reason I purchased this version the "SWISS CHAMP" model as it does have "more" truly nice items and features that i'm sure I would use but I made the very difficult choice to send this knife back. Not that I was not 100% happy with the knife as its fantastic but for ME and when in MY pocket, it is a bit too wide and heavy to feel right. I think it's the pliers that make the thickness of this knife larger than I like and I think I can do without the pliers as a trade off for size. So I am going back to the smaller model that will give me the items I have listed above but feels better in my pocket.I am now considering the Victorinox Fieldmaster as it may be the tool amount vs size I need. I did seriously consider buying a belt knife holder to hold this knife and I would suggest considering that as an option and if you will carry this knife as it would get it out of my pocket but if I'm going to buy a belt holder I may go ahead and buy that huge largest Swiss Army knife that has all of tools that many of us Victorinox fans dream about!Regardless, This knife is wonderful, I love it but I suggest to consider what items on your knife you truly want to have and how you will carry your knife be it a pocket or holder ( belt pouch ).

BEST MULTI-TOOL EVER -- BECAUSE IT'S IN YOUR POCKET
What good is a multi-tool, if it's sitting in a drawer somewhere? The Swisschamp is the best multi-tool in the world, because it's small enough to live in your pocket, which means you'll have it when you need it. There are bigger, badder Swiss Army knives, but anything larger than this will be too bulky to carry, or to handle.I own about six Swiss Army knives, all smaller than the Swisschamp -- I kept the Climber in my pocket for years. I recently gave a Swisschamp to my grandson for his 11th birthday (he loved it, obviously), and realized I wanted more tools. I particularly wanted the Phillips screwdriver, and the little pliers.I absolutely love this elegant little toolkit -- I use it almost every day for one thing or another. I like having four different screwdrivers, right down to eyeglass size, plus the Philips. I'll never be without a pen again, and for the first time ever, I have what I need to remove splinters -- pin (hiding under the corkscrew) and tweezers. The scissors are the best hangnail clipper ever invented. I doubt I'll need the hook or the chisel, but who knows. The scaler, which will never touch a fish in my lifetime, actually makes a decent little prying/pulling tool, and it can jimmy a locked door. The only downside is that it's bulkier than the other knives -- twice as wide as the Climber. Easy DIY solution: a short lanyard attached to a belt-loop clip. It hangs into my pocket, but doesn't touch the bottom -- the profile is minimal, and no one will ever ask, "Is that a pocketknife, or are you just happy to see me?"Get one, keep it in your pocket or on your belt, and you'll reach for it every day. Even better, when somebody needs scissors or a screwdriver, you get to say, "Here you go."*** Seller recommendation: Both my Swisschamps were purchased from a seller called The Watch Locker. Both knives were genuine Victorinox, not the counterfeits sold in abundance on Amazon. ***Here are the 33 functions, from the Victorinox website. I think it's fair to call this list "padded" -- 17-20 are the same tool, and so are several other items:1) Fish scaler2) Hook disgorger3) Ruler (cm)4) Ruler (in)5) Magnifying glass6) Bottle opener7) Screwdriver 6 mm8) Wire stripper9) Toothpick10) Pin11) Wood saw12) Phillips screwdriver 1/213) Multipurpose hook14) Scissors15) Tweezers16) Key ring17) Nail file18) Nail cleaner19) Metal saw20) Metal file21) Screwdriver 2.5 mm22) Blade, large23) Pressurized ballpoint pen24) Reamer, punch and sewing awl25) Chisel 4 mm26) Combination pliers27) Wire cutters28) Wire crimper29) Blade, small30) Can opener31) Screwdriver 3 mm32) Mini screwdriver 1.5 mm33) Corkscrew

Fantastic, Quality workmanship
Being a 'gadget junkie' I really didn't need this Swiss Champ, I just wanted it. Wasn't sure how it would fit in my daily routine as I have a number of good knives as well as top of the line multi tools. My 19 year old granddaughter saw my Victorinox EVO with the wood scales which I really liked, and she 'confiscated it' complements of Pop Pop. I sort of missed that one, so I looked for a replacement, which was this Champ. It arrived in one day from ordering and I must say it is smooth and easy to open, has more tools than I'll ever use and is pretty easy to carry, much lighter that the multi tools I usually carry. The best thing I like about it is that the tools are easier to open than any of my other Victorinox tools, and don't want to break my thumb nails looking for the right tool to open. As far as quality, it is flawless, the blades are razor sharp, they open and close with authority. Will I carry this every day? Well, it's lighter than my Swiss Tool, and Leatherman Surge, but it lacks a heavy duty pliers. I most likely will simply add this to my carry gear, which defeats the purpose of lightening things up, but, oh well, a few more ounces pulling down my pants won't really matter. I like it, it is well made, and fun to just fidget with. If I lost it, I would most definitely purchase another. By the way, the 'fish scaler' which most people find useless works great jabbing olives in a jar and using as a fork.
