Practical Addition to the Gym Bag โฆ
Like a lot of powerlifters/bodybuilders, my gym bag is loaded with personal โessentialsโ that play an integral part of my workout regimen (knee sleeves, wraps, chalk, bar clamps, bands, etc.). Iโm always open-minded to adding new gadgets that may supplement my workouts and decided to buy a pair of FAT GRIPZ. I am impressed with the results Iโve experienced since incorporating these grips and I find a way to implement them into every workout. WHAT THEY ARE: FAT GRIPZ are cylinders made of a rubber-like compound that are meant to be placed around a bar to provide a wider grip surface for enhancing grip/forearm strength. A lengthwise slit on the grips make it easy to add/remove the grips from bar. FAT GRIPZ fit snuggly around most Olympic bars, but I find them working well with thinner bars, certain dumbbells, ropes, pulley attachments and certain stationary machines (Hammer, Smith, Cybex, etc.). WHY I LOVE MY FAT GRIPZ: - What I like best about the FAT GRIPZ is that they add versatility to most any exercise that involves a bar-like gripping platform. Easy to attach and remove, I bring them with me through the entire workout to add dimension to and existing exercise or create new exercises. Using them for standard lifts like bench press, deadlifts and shrugs adds a notable dynamic to the lifts in terms of difficulty and muscle engagement. - Portability โฆ you can bring them to every exercise with the same convenience of a water bottle or lifting belt. - Durable construction and safe to use. FAT GRIPZ are solid and well-made. I can literally see these grips lasting my entire lifting-life. The rubber-like compound offers a solid gripping surface that not only eliminates the need for chalk, but adds a better grip to older bars with worn knurling. Of course, any gym exercise involves an element of danger, especially when weights are involved. FAT GRIPZ are safe โฆ when used properly and with a degree of common sense. Users should know the dynamics of push/pull exercises to determine which way the slit is facing (toward the palms for pulling exercises and away from the palms for pushing exercises) to avoid the grips from popping off โฆ or knowing when NOT to use the grips. - The grips can enhance most any workout, regardless of your lifting โcategoryโ: powerlifting, bodybuilding, Crossfit, Olympic lifting, strongman, etc. It doesnโt take long to yield noticeable results. No, Iโm not talking about Mr. Olympia forearms showing-up after a few weeks, but more the subtle creep of increasing hand grip/pinch grip strength and a noticeable increase in stabilization when handling Olympic Bar presses (flat/incline/decline and military presses). FAT GRIPZ take some time to get used to in the beginning โฆ and you likely wonโt be able to load as much weight to many exercised. As someone who could deadlift over 600 lbs. in competition, simply pulling 315 off the floor with FAT GRIPZ was not easy because my grip was confined to a pinch hold that made it hard to hold the bar for any extended period. Pushing exercises are much easier, but the wide grip will challenge your wrist/forearm stabilization โฆ Iโll use the grips for reps, but not for a max press. EXERCISES THAT I FOUND USEFUL FOR FAT GRIPZ: - Olympic Bar: flat/incline/decline bench press (for reps, not max), J.M. presses, close grip, military press, deadlifts and shrugs, curls. - Dumbbells: not all dumbbells will accommodate FAT GRIPZ, but pretty much any dumbbell exercise will work (using common-sense, of course) - Odd bars: I find the FAT GRIPZ working well with specialty bars that are thinner than standard Olympic Bars. Yes, the grips may rotate on an inert bar, but should not rotate when the exercise starts (the resistance of the weight will keep the grips in place). - Cable machines: I find the grips fitting a myriad of cable attachments and if the grips fit the attachment, they can be used for a variety of exercises from rows, pull downs, curls and extensions. - Free standing machines: I can apply the grips to most any of my gymโs plethora of Hammer Strength, Cybex and Smith machines. - Pull-up bars and anything else the grips fit โฆ Iโll try it. No other gym tool Iโve used have the versatility of the FAT GRIPZ. This is one of the best products for working out Iโve ever owned. A final word of advice: Start out with the standard (blue) FAT GRIPZ before โgraduatingโ to the EXTREME (orange) FAT GRIPZ (unless your hands are abnormally large). These grips should be challenging enough, the orange grips are a big step up in difficulty.

Five Years Later and Still Crushing It
Iโve been using these Fat Gripz for over five years, and theyโve held up incredibly well. The rubber hasnโt cracked or torn, and they still fit securely on my bars and dumbbells. Theyโve definitely proven to be a durable piece of gym equipment. The biggest benefit has been the improvement in my grip and forearm strength. Training with a thicker grip has made regular bars feel much easier to hold, and Iโve noticed better hand strength during other lifts and everyday tasks. Theyโre simple to put on and take off, making them easy to incorporate into different workouts. If youโre looking for a quality grip training accessory that will last for years, I highly recommend these. Theyโve become a permanent part of my workouts, and Iโd buy them again without hesitation.

if you're anything like me, you're skeptical
Let's face it, if you're anything like me, you're skeptical. The fitness industry is full of garbage pills, powders, and devices. Empty promises are everywhere. It seems like everyone's selling a "training aid" now. Most of these will become very expensive paperweights, or you'll "regift" them to someone at your gym. BUT FAT GRIPZ ARE THE REAL DEAL. These bad boys will take your training to the next level. FatGripz are different. They're not magical. In fact, you're going to need to put in some hard, and brutal work with them. But if you do I can promise you gains like you'll never see. Here are the benefits you'll instantly reap from FatGripz: 1. Increased Arm Strength and Size: Fat Gripz will do more for the size of your arms than anything you could ever imagine, and you won't have to change a thing. This is because the Fat Gripz literally FORCE your biceps into contracting to their utmost potential on every movement, including ones that aren't necessarily biceps movements! All of a sudden you'll be recruiting your biceps on DB Rows, T Bar Rows, and Chinups like you've never done before. And it will make you STRONGER in those movements because now you're using more muscle and more power, it's a win-win for every bodypart you're training. And the same goes for your triceps. I could never feel my triceps in overhead pressing, but with Fat Gripz every time I put a bar or dumbbell over head my triceps contract to their highest potential and I blast weights up like I never could. 2. Variety: We all know how important variety is for training. It's critical. But switching your exercises entirely is totally unproductive. We know the compound upper body movements that work best. Bench Press, Shoulder Press, Barbell Row, T-Bar Row, Dumbbell Row, Chinup/Pullup, Dip. But sticking to these movements alone can make your training very stagnant and lead to stale joints. All you have to do is strap the Fat Gripz on, and immediately it's a fresh movements that's much, much friendlier on your joints because of the way the force is distributed through your hands and joints. So you can use FatGripz to break through plateaus and stale training. You can alternate 4 weeks of a movement without FatGripz, strap them on, and now you've got another 4 weeks of gains. It's incredible 3. Huge Forearms and Gorilla Grip: I have never been able to make my forearms grow until I get Fat Gripz. I tried endless amounts of wrist curls which always hurt my wrists and left me injured. Guess what? "The forearms are designed to stabilize the wrist while gripping. they are not built for performing an endless succession of wrist curls. The heavier the object in the hands and the more difficult it is to hold, the harder the forearms work and the bigger they get. Big forearms require holding massive weight and making it difficult to hold that weight." That quite is from an acclaimed exercise physiologist. AND HE IS COMPLETELY RIGHT. I found that within six months, the Fat Gripz made my forearms grow more than in six years of doing puny wrist curls and forearm twists. So stop wasting your time with ridiculous osolation work and get a pair of these NOW. You know you need fat grip training in your routine. It's not really an option. The question is how you're going to do it. If you can afford it and have the space, then by all means you can buy fat handle dumbbells from 20-120 lbs, fat handled barbells and specialty bars. But just understand that you're going to need hundreds of square feet, and even worse, thousands of dollars. OR you can just buy this pair of Fat Gripz for less than a night of good drinking and take your training to a whole new level. BUY THE FAT GRIPZ NOW!

They really work and help arms
I was skeptical but been working on my forarms and these were rated well. I already completed one workout using these on shoulders, chest and back. I feel like they help with muscle isolation, feels like I got a better workout. It also made the exercises a little more difficult as far as making the weights feel heavier but that's not a bad thing, you can use less weight and get same results. Felt easier to maintain proper form as opposed to the textured bare metal of dumbells. Also the grip texture is very nice and preferable to the bare metal. They are a little tough to take off dumbbells and switch for the next set but after a few you get the hang of it, it's not so bad. They are really thick solid rubber so I don't think it will have an issue of durability when trying to take it off the weight.

Very good niche product for the gym
I ordered these on Prime day and saved a few additional dollars. I just finished my first arm workout with them and I was impressed. I've worked out off and on for 25 years. Religiously for about 10 years and then sporadically after marriage and my career took up more of my time. I can't remember when I had a better biceps pump after a workout. Fat gripz challenged my arms in a completely different way than what I am used to. Some free and hopefully helpful advice and my thoughts on some of the reviews and comments I've read here. First, a few people have used the term "snake oil" to describe this product implying that it is fraudulent. I believe continued use of these will give you very good results. I've been lifting long enough to be able to tell if something will work for me fairly quickly. That being said - in lifting like most all things in life positive results do not come overnight. You have to consistently put in the time and effort. Aside from training hard you also need plenty of rest and good nutrition to get the most out of your body. If you haven't been lifting very long you should probably stick with the basic dumbbell and barbell curls until you gain strength and arm development. I would then try these after you reach a sticking point in your arm training. You get bigger and stronger by confusing your muscles i.e. when they begin to adapt to an exercise and load you do something different. I used these on an Olympic barbell and a set of York dumbbells. No slipping on either one but there was a small gap in the fat gripz that didn't affect me at all. I lifted with the gap out of contact with my hands and also with the gap touching my hands and it didn't make a difference to me. I typically use chalk when I work out and these have a nice tackiness to the material that is easy to grip without chalk, resin, etc. Elite level lifters in a variety of strength sports have been using thicker (larger diameter) bars for some time now to increase strength. Those bars can cost hundreds of dollars. You can get most of the same benefits with fat gripz at a fraction of the cost. These aren't essential to getting big and strong. You can definitely get there without fat gripz but I like them and feel they are well worth the cost as an addition to my home gym. I also do grip strength exercises and feel these will help in that area as well. Bottom line for me - adds a new dimension to my workout program, seem to be very durable, and are not too expensive. I don't regret my purchase at all. I went from being pipe cleaner skinny in high school (135 lbs) to 6'5" 275 lbs thanks to working out. I'm far from an expert but do know a thing or do about lifting - most of the negative comments about this product seem to come from people who may not know as much about lifting as they like to think they do. I rely on reviews when purchasing products. These have almost 1500 reviews with the majority of them being overwhelmingly positive. That tells me something. These also come in a package that states - "For maximum results and safety do not use these until you visit fatgripz.com/secret. That is the only part I'm not satisfied with. If they have information they want to share they should include it in the packaging. I went to the website and they want you to download a file to view the big secret and learn how to use these safely. Well, I'll pass on the download. I think I can get the results I expect and frankly, if you can't figure out how to use these safely you might want to pursue a hobby that doesn't involve lifting heavy weights.

Good Product for a Forearm Workout
I was hesitant to buy there because there are other options out there and they are somewhat expensive if you really think about what your buying. However, I took the plunge and overall I am glad I bought them. From the other reviews I read about them, I agree with them in that they are very very humbling when you first use them. For any exercise you do with a barbell whether it be bench press, dead lift, curls, etc. you're going to have to use lighter weight at first. Maybe not so much for pushing exercises, but definetly for pulling such as deadlifts or barbell rows. You will notice your forearms burning a lot sooner that your used to when using these. I first tried them with deadlifting and I had to drop the weight by at least 100lbs. before I could knock out any reps (no straps used, obviously). I also used them for chin up and pulls ups and I must say it is also very hard at first. With barbell bicep curls, I really felt an extra little bit in my bicep peak when using these for curls. I loved it. I must say thought I have not been routinely using them, which is why I can't say if they actually increased my grip strength. I do know however that I was only able to do 2 chinups at first with the Fat Gripz and I was able to move up to repping out 6-7 with the grips on. Thats about all I can say as far as continuou use. My grip strength definitely increased on the chin up bar. A few of the things I noticed when using them. You want to make sure you always orient the opening to be facing you when using them, so that they don't slip off during the middle of a set. Also they do slip around a little bit when using, but I combated this by gripping harder on them so that they couldn't slide around, which makes them work even better as your gripping as hard as you can to increase forearm strength. They construction seems solid as well. I fell like they will last a long time even with repeated use. They do kind of smell funny and that smell hasn't left even though I've had them for a couple months now. After using them though, I would definitely reccommend using them. I know they are a little pricey, but I have spent more on things that don't seem to work.

These turned every lift into a grip strength audit
I love these. Full stop. I added the Fat Gripz Pro to my training thinking theyโd be a nice accessory. What I got instead was a very humbling reminder that my grip strength was doing a lot less work than I thought. They slide onto barbells, dumbbells, pull-up bars, and pretty much anything you can grab, and instantly make every movement harder in the right way. Curls feel different. Rows feel different. Even warm-up sets suddenly demand attention. Your forearms light up fast, and your hands have no choice but to get stronger. The material feels durable and secure, not squishy and not slippery. Once theyโre on the bar, they stay put. No spinning, no shifting, no constant adjusting mid-set. Theyโre thick enough to actually change the movement but not so bulky that they feel awkward or unsafe. What I appreciate most is how simple they are. No setup, no learning curve, no gimmicks. You just put them on and lift like normal, except now your grip, forearms, and overall muscle activation are working overtime. If you lift regularly and want an easy way to make your workouts more effective without adding more weight, these are absolutely worth it. I use them constantly and theyโve earned a permanent spot in my gym bag. 5 stars. My forearms hate me and thatโs how I know theyโre working.

Definitely hits different!
Worked perfectly and as expected, even on my steel stirrup handles. Definitely felt more muscle activation during several different exercises. Glad I got these and not the Fat Gripz โExtremeโ set I almost ordered. These are just the right size. ๐ช๐ฝ

Fat grips are great for home workouts.
Iโve been using these since April 15, and Iโve already noticed some growth in my forearmsโwhich is great, since thatโs an area Iโve always been insecure about. I started with 5kg and gradually moved up to 11kg. I use them on almost every exercise I can. If you work out at home and need something to add resistance and give your training a boost, Iโd definitely recommend these. I avoid gyms and prefer home workouts, so not having access to heavy equipment can make gains a challenge. These help bridge that gap. Hereโs a breakdown of how I use them: โข Pull-ups: 3 sets of 20 โข Curls: 3 sets of 40 โข Forearm curls: 3 sets of 30 โข Dips: 3 sets of 30 โข Bench press: 3 sets of 20 โข Dumbbell press: 3 sets of 40 I use them for everything. It was tough at first, but now I canโt imagine working out without them, theyโve for sure made me stronger, and going back feels too easy. For reference: my hands are 21cm, and my partnerโs are 15cm. Despite the size difference, theyโre still comfortable and functional for both of us. So donโt worry too much about hand size. I can highly recommend these should grab them while you can.

An indispensable workout tool
Being my first time buying Fat Gripz I was skeptical as to whether to purchase gripz over ยฃ20.After purchasing Fat Gripz I realized that something had always been missing from my workouts. Implementing these excellent gripz helped bring more contractions to the muscles I was working. For Instance when doing a bench press I could feel my chest being contracted a lot more with Fat Gripz then without them. Ultimately every workout I perform, has to have Fat Gripz. I also noticed when performing skull crushers there was a lot less stress on my elbows, these Gripz really make you work hard and are perfect if you are looking for quick results. My forearms as well as my biceps have benefited a lot from the Gripz. Although they are slightly expensive they are worth every penny. They are also perfect if you don't have an Olympic bar they make your bar as thick as one! When I opened the box I surprised to find their own workout program on top of their Fat Gripz. The fact that they are so versatile also makes it a must for any gym enthusiast or any one that ones to build muscle. They fit on your pull up bar, dumbells, barbells and even most gym machines, like tricep pull down, row and lat pull down. These Gripz were delivered in three days, very quick for an amazon delivery. Fat Gripz may just seem like two pieces of rubber but they are more than that, they are military grade and are really durable, they don't feel cheap at all. They also fit well on virtually any bar and are easy to take off. My first workout with these Gripz were punishing. I felt my forearms and biceps burning on every rep when curling, and I woke up sore the next day, after consistently using these gripz over 4 months I have managed to reduce imbalances between my arms and have a more prominent bicep peak, not to mention my huge forearms. Buy these Fat Gripz and you will not be disappointed, they are better than other Bar thickeners and are great if you don't want to buy an expensive Olympic bar and besides they fit on pretty much anything. I can not wait to buy the Extreme Fat Gripz, I must emphasize that you use standard Fat Gripz before using Extreme as when I hit the gym before buying these Gripz my friend had the Extremes and I was struggling to get a grip on them! After using the gripz for a few months I could get a firm grip on them. Durability- 10/10 Price - 7/10 Shipping- 10/10 Overall use in workouts-10/10 (I use them for every exercise now!)
