Whistling Tea Kettle

totally beautiful. This was a excellent choice. It is as wonderful looking just like the amazon picture. Susteas recommends not using high heat but only med and once finished make sure to completly empty the pot because of paint could peel off but this is the stainless model so that should not apply. I would highly recommend this model because there is no paint. Susteas also included anti scald gloves for safety but no worry here I am old enough to know how to handle hot pots. I hope this kettle last for years and years

Very pretty; built very solid; fits your hand easily. Easy to use, not too heavy; all in all a good product.

This Silver Whistling Tea Kettle arrived in pristine condition. The stainless steel was so shiny it was difficult to take a photo without my reflection in it. Instructions do not include information on cleaning before the first use so I washed and rinsed it well several times with water and dish detergent. The base of the tea kettle completely covers the 6.5" back burner on my electric stovetop. I did not find that the black part of the handle is hot to the touch but the stainless steel part is. A Silicone Gripper is included to avoid burning your hand. I find it easy to just hold the kettle by the black part of the handle. Inside the tea kettle is stainless steel. I chose this because my previous tea kettle had a dark finish inside which flaked and I had to throw it away as the flakes were getting in my tea. I filled the kettle about half way since I only wanted one cup of tea and did not want to wait for 2 liters to boil. It took a while to heat up because I used medium low heat as suggested in the instructions. For my next cups I used medium and after that closer to high heat. High heat did not affect the finish on my tea kettle. Perhaps because the outside is stainless steel (not one of the colors offered) and also the base of the tea kettle fully covers my burner. So now I feel confident to heat it on high. The whistle was loud (even though I filled it only half way) and I was able to hear it in the farthest room of my house. The Silver Version of the Tea Kettle does not have a black stripe down the front as the photo might lead you to believe. I think that is just a reflection of the knob on the cover. This Stainless Steel Tea Kettle is much more attractive in my kitchen than on the website. The photo on the website made me think it was not a shiny finish. I'm glad I took the chance and purchased it.

This is perfect. Incredible quality!! Light weight, but wildly durable! It's beautiful, very well made. I'm so happy with it. I think it looks perfect on my stove top and was just the best upgrade from my old kettle. It works incredibly well, washes easily, and the color does not fade. It also came with a small grip mitt, which was so unexpected and so so cute! Very glad I got this... you probably should too.

Looks nice, polished SS exterior, light weight product (not a positive attribute) vs similar SS kettles we have had, hence longevity is questionable at this time, we will update post some prolonged usage. The handle gets very hot and one needs to use a mitt to avoid burns, the mitt provided with the unit is not practical to use and indication that OEM is well aware of the hot surface problem. Updating review after few months of daily usage, as mentioned before the handle gets very hot and its a significant concern. the heat transfer rate from stove to kettle is also sub-par, it takes much longer to boil the water compared to another SS kettle we had before this one

This is an item that will show its quality over time. I am sure it is important to follow the 'heat' instructions to keep it looking nice. I have heated water in it for the first time today and the whistle works. It is beautiful. Looks just like the photo. I purchased the white one and it's classy. The interior box was a bit crushed when it arrived but no damage to item. Arrived on time.

I rated this as a two because the overall look of the pod is lovely. However looks aren’t everything. I bought this because it has high reviews. Perhaps other buyers don’t puts their teapot to use every day as I do. I’ve had my tea pot for less than 6 months. I am extremely disappointed to see the finish chipping. It’s also getting burn marks all over the sides, not because of heating up the pot, but because it sits on a gas stove top (which most of them do) so it’s getting ambient heat (not fire) from other cooking and it singes the finish. I’ve had other teapots and most of my tea pods have lasted almost 10 years under the same conditions before I had to purchase a new one and typically it’s because the interior overtime seems to oxidize. I’ve never had a problem with the exterior of my pots but I’ve also never bought a Susteas pot. Additionally, the design of the handle with the metal on top is a safety issue - a burn hazard. I’ve learned to keep my hands and fingers away from it because I have been burned by the metal there.

I was amased at the quality of this kettle! It is gorgeous; a beautiful colour, quite heavy and very good quallity. The bottom is a triple layer of stainless steel, so it holds up to heat. It works well; stays shiny, washes well and is easy to clean. It looks very good w/ any decor and it's a pretty colour. For about $80., which is mid price for a good tea kettle, you can't go wrong. No need to spend over $100. for a good stove top like this. We're British and love our tea. We don't use electric kettles or microwaves to make tea! This one is perfect!! Our last one got chipped after 5 years, so gave it away.
