Best bilge pump for the money
I love this pump!! Low profile, strong pump, super easy to install!!! This is a best buy!!! Combine with 36303 Ultima Auto Bilge Controller it does not get any better!!

used as koi pond dirty water sump pump
used as koi pond dirty water sump pump. Last one lasted about 1 year and 9 months before wearing out.

Meh, airlocks when I have a check valve installed
I do have a long distance and therefore a large volume of tubing between the pump and the outlet, about 20ft of 3/4" plus a stringer duct about 3ft. With a check valve at the pump, it gets an airlock and down not pump. I'm going to try another brand...

Great pump, Lousy Housing
The cartridge is a work horse but the housing is made of plastic. The problem with the design is that there is no support under the body of the pump. It snapped off where it is screwed to the floor. I suggest that if you want to get this one, you put something under the housing to support it so that it will not snap when you hit the big waves. I had to order the pump with cartridge because you cannot get the housing by itself.

This pump saved my boat
My old bilge switch with this pump (this same model) quit working so I replaced the switch and pump. Well, in my first outing this year, I did a bonehead thing and forgot to install the drain plug. I realized it when we were out about an hour in the intracoastal. I raced back to the ramp and pulled the boat out. I had nearly a foot of water in the bilge but this pump kept up and got me back to shore. Its a great pump and worth 10 stars. I promise to never again complain when my wife asks me if I have the drain plug installed.
