I've been using Petaxin Hip and Joint for a little over a week now. I was previously using GNC dog ultra joint supplements, which worked well, but they are difficult to find. After researching dog joint supplements, I decided to go with this product because it had a lot of the same ingredients, and is very reasonable in price. So far I have not noticed any bad reactions to the supplement, it's business as usual, which is exactly what I was hoping for.I have a 3 legged boxer (4 yrs old, hopping around on 1 hind leg probably isn't great for the joints) and 2 miniature dachshunds (7 yrs old, known for back problems), and joint supplements have kept them from injury over the years and they are all very energetic. They all love the taste of the Petaxin joint supplements. I give them as a "treat" for eating their food. The customer support team has been outstanding! They offer 1 free bottle of Petaxin for first time buyers, and I had no issues getting my free bottle. They also followed up with me to see if I received the free bottle and to let me know they are available if I have any questions or need assistance. I recommend this product.

My 14 year old Jack Russell was slow moving, with an occasional squeak, and odd limp. Mashing one of these up in his morning food seems to have given him a little break from the aches and pains and he seems much sprier after taking them. He either likes the taste or doesn't notice it, and he's a finicky eater. I've tried other dog supplements that haven't done anything except take my money, so this was a welcome addition.

I have a very picky 7 year old Neapolitan Mastiff who doesn't like flavored vitamins of any kind. These are the exception!!! She LOVES the flavor and eats them as if they were treats!! As soon as I grab the bottle she gets really excited. I just started giving them to her, so I haven't seen a big difference, but I'm confident that she'll start moving better. Also, the bottle I received had a "get a free bottle on us" sticker on top, which I thought was a marketing scam like usual; however I was surprised to realize that it was actually TRUE!!! I went to the website listed on the sticker, wrote my Amazon order #, my shipping address, and in 2 days I received another bottle like the one I purchased. I was sooo happy!!! Usually when companies offer you a "free" bottle, there's always a catch. You go to their website and they say "new bottle with the purchase of this n that", or you receive a tiny little sample bottle in the mail. Anyway... I'm very happy with my purchase and recommend this company to everyone!!! Looks like they really care for its furry customers. Thank you again for my free bottle!!!! ♥

Writing this to give positive feedback to M LoBrutto, and in the process a highly regarded review will be written forthright. This is without a doubt the best hip and joint support my dogs have "ever" used. Both of my Dachshunds, just over a year ago, were diagnosed with arthritis in their hips. Now, to be fair, the vet did not say the arthritis was severe, but definitely prevalent. My dogs are 11 and 12 years old. The vet didn't recommend any particular brand of hip and joint support soft chews. I did the research on Amazon and by asking some of my dog owner friends; and after some diligent time of reading reviews and evaluating products, this is the one I chose. After a year of daily doses with their food I can attest that their arthritis has been tempered to the level that I would have no idea that they had or presently have arthritis in their hips. Tails wagging and running around with youthful puppy spry. I seldom write reviews, let alone longer ones, but I love my puppies and if I can provide some positive feedback that might help other dog owners then it's well worth my time to acknowledge how good this product is.

I bought this because I think my pup has luxating patella (she's going to the vet in a couple of weeks to confirm), and some days she doesn't want to walk for a few hours and everything I read on that says that an anti-inflammatory should help. She is a dachshund, and for the breed it's a good idea to start the on glucosamine early for arthritis prevention (especially if she might have luxating patella, which usually leads to arthritis). So far she's only had one of those "no walking" incidents since she's been on it and I notice that on her walks she has more of a pep in her step. She also highly approves of the flavor. I think it's too early to tell if it's working for what I bought it for, but it looks like a good product overall and she likes it, so I will continue to buy it.

After months of my research, I’ve found this to be one of the most budget-friendly joint supplements. Many other supplements at this price point usually don’t have enough of each ingredient, so you run out quickly or don’t give a high enough dose to do anything. Other supplements also tend to forgo MSM, which is extremely important for preventing further joint damage. As long as the ingredients are there and are in high enough quantities, like we see in Petaxin, your dog is going to improve if a joint supplement is for them; there’s really no reason to spend $60 a month on other supplements to get the exact same active ingredients.I can’t comment on how good the flavor is because my dog will eat anything, but it is a soft, chewable, meat-flavored supplement that seems like it would be appealing to most dogs.My only qualm about it is the amount of sugar in this supplement. It’s probably not enough to make your dog obese or anything like that, but I’d just feel better if it wasn’t present or even if there wasn’t so much of it.
