Does this item provide the ability to limit current - e.g. during DC motor start up?

This is an A.C. Voltage regulator, I use this to control the speed of a router motor, 240V.A.C input, variable to motor.

Does anyone know how terminals connect, theres no Live/Neutral indicator on the pins, power only in/out as a pair?

I have 1 of these connected between my solar inverter and a water thermostat controlled heater element. I am quite happy with it and it is wired as per the diagram showing the ‘light’ bulb in 1 of the advert pages accompanying the Amazon advert.

Does selected digital counter reset to zero with power supply removal so cold start always at zero

No it starts at the last setting when the power was connected i.e. disconnect power at 75%, reconnect power starts at 75%.

Is the pannel waterproof

the panel is plastic after fitting it the silver front is a thick vinyl sticker with good adhesion so it can take a bit of water
