Feminist Coalitions: Historical Perspectives on Second-Wave Feminism in the United States (Women, Gender, and Sexuality in American History) Review: A book that will never leave my shelf for a used book store.... - I've cited this collection (and essays from it) nearly a dozen times. It captures the successes and struggles of cross-cultural feminist organizing in vivid case studies by some of the most preeminent scholars in women's history. Buy it! Review: A good collection, if a little disjointed. - Feminist Coalitions was part of the curriculum for a graduate History class I went through in college. It was a nice collection of essays from prominent scholars of feminism and the Second-Wave women's movement in the US. It can be kind of disjointed though since it is an essay collection and not a cohesive work. All in all, it was a good read for graduate school and interesting if you like the topic.
