The XS sight rail is pretty cool. The ghost ring sights work well. The rail is great for a scout style/ high eye relief scope or maybe a setup such as a red dot with a magnifier. The rail is easy to install. There are plenty of videos on it from the manufacturer.

I installed this rail and sight on my Marlin model 336 30-30 lever action rifle. It was relatively easy to install. I did have to use a file to trim some material from the dove tail pillar mount and the rail itself as per instructions. This resulted in a super snug fit and everything lined up properly. Windage was dead on after test firing first shots. Elevation was several inches high at roughly 30 yards. I'm hoping this is easily corrected by turning the rear ghost ring aperture. Overall I am very pleased with the look and functionality of this product!

Functions great

I put this on a Marlin 1895 GBL and love these sights. Very fast on target at short range and was easy to install. Their customer service is also great! I was setting this .45-70 up for a very short range defense rifle and the front sight blade was too short for my use. I contacted CS and they immediately sent a taller front sight free of charge. Excellent. I highly recommend this product!

Fit is perfect, quality is great. I held off buying this for a while because it is a bit pricey for a "rail." But I am glad I finally pulled the trigger, so to speak. Totally worth the money. The ability to add a scope or red dot the my rifle is a great upgrade and the quality is arguably better that factory quality (if you have one of the older marlins.) Absolutely recommend this product.

Item arrived with the rail only, no sights. Amazon is processing a return, fine. I called XS since that’s the Amazon vender who sold it. Not the greatest customer service. After a long convo with their gunsmith it turns out this sight wouldn’t have worked anyway as it’s specific to 30-30 and not 35 rem, which is what my 336 is. Might be helpful information for them to include in the listing on Amazon. Anyway I’m looking at some of the Williams and ranger precision sights now. The rail did seem well made though.

This mount is tailor made for the Marlin 1894. It fits like a glove to the rifle, though be warned that the instructions are not easy to follow as they are written more for the 336 rifle. I faired better just figuring it out on my own. It took me about 15 minutes to install and I was quite pleased at how well it fit and looked on my rifle. I would also say that although this is high quality, the price is a little steep...should be more like $50-$60. Also and most importantly....when mounting a scope on a Marlin 1894 with this rail and you elect to keep the ghost ring sight mounted, you will need Xtra Xtra high scope mounts in order for the scope tube to clear the ghost ring sight. Anything less is simply not tall enough to clear it.

This rail system is awesome. It does require some fitting to install it but as long as you have a bit of general "know how" it is no problem, there are several very helpful videos on YouTube for step by step including all fitting. Once installed the rail system is rock solid and is everything I had hoped it would be. I would recommend it to anyone looking to improve their marlin for optics and accessory mounting, or just to give your firearm a better overall look.

Mounted the product on my brand new Marlin 336 XLR

Good quality. For my 336 3030, frony sight has 2 holes and my gun only 1. Ill need to have it drilled by gunsmith.

The product is advertised as a complete package in the photos and lists “sights” in the “what’s included” section but you will only receive the rail. The XS product is excellent quality but the rail is useless without the sights. The seller does not offer them, even separately. I will be returning.
