Pro board only has 2 M2 slots, Though if you look at each picture, depending on which board you look at, you'll see silver m2 slots next to each PCIe slot. Where it says x4 this is about speed version, not number of slots.
If in doubt look at the picture you cant miss them.

What onboard gpu does this motherboard have, i may need to use it short term before adding a pci-e card?

There isn't any. You will have integrated graphics with AMD APUs like the 2200G, 2400G, 3200G or 3400G and use the motherboard's HDMI port. (they're called APUs and not CPUs precisely to distinguish them as CPUs that have integrated graphics). So you either buy/borrow one of these APUs, or you will need that discrete PCI-e graphics card to use with a regular AMD CPU.

Is this rev 1.1 or 1.0 of the x570 Aorus motherboard?

Will nvidia rtx 2080 work with aorus x570 elite well? or should i pick a different variant?

To simplify matters as Filipe Alves has stated, there are no compatibility issues between graphics cards and motherboards. The only exceptions are very old motherboards which don't have PCI-Express version 3 (which is about a decade old standard now).

You won't find any motherboard that doesn't support PCI-E 3.0 these days from any e-retailer unless you are looking for a specific board off Ebay for example.

In terms of a power supply you will at least need a 600 watt psu and atleast 750 to 800 psu if you are planning to over clock. If you want to save a few pounds, go for a semi modular power supply. I'd recommend going for a full modular power supply for greater flexibility and ability to mod / customise all your power cables.
