Tsukihoshi CHILD28 Wheel Sneaker (Toddler/Little Kid)

These are our favorite shoes for our toddler (and his). So easy on and off, and stay put once on; decent traction. I think these would be great shoes for a special needs kid as well. The soles are thinner and very flexible, not barefoot by any means. But if you're looking for thick cushioned shoes for sports, look elsewhere. These are play/running around shoes where you don't have to worry about your kid rolling his/her ankles. I've washed many times in the washing machine and they look new each time. Someone mentioned a stink that won't go away. Try washing them in detergent for cloth diapers. That worked for me anyway.

These are great shoes. I originally bought a size smaller since I had read reviews that the shoes run big, but they were too small. So I returned them and bought the next size up, and they fit well with a little room to grow. They're very flexible and seem comfortable- they're the only shoes my toddler wants to wear right now. We've had them for a couple of months and have had to throw them in the washer a few times, and they're holding up great.

I ended up buying this pair of shoes in 3 different sizes (thank goodness for free returns!) because it ran so large. My son wears a 12 in almost every other brand, and we ended up buying a 10.5 in this shoe. Bizarre how off the sizing runs, but we are really happy with them now that they finally fit. He has a rather high arch, therefore the top of his foot is high, and many hook/loop straps end up looking strange and leaving a lot of the Velcro exposed. The exposed Velcro portion ends up snagging carpet, or filling with grass and playground mulch, but the strap on this shoe crosses over his high foot enough to prevent this. They are lightweight, and attractive.

I love the design of the shoe - as my little guy's favorite color is green & he really prefers if his shoes have green on them. I read other reviews and sized down (he's a 12.5 & so I ordered a size 12). Well, these are WAY off on sizing. I held them up to a pair of size 12 Stride Rite shoes we already have and they are about an inch longer. They are also pretty wide as well. I'm bummed to have to send these back - but they are just like clown shoes on my son & it looks like it will be awhile before he'll be big enough to fit in them - if ever - since they are also too wide. Bummer.

These shoes are incredibly easy for a preschooler to put on and take off. They are comfortable and super light weight. They dry quickly and are machine washable. My active four year old chose to wear these sneakers almost exclusively for about 10 months. They held up so well, we purchased a second pair when he outgrew them.

Fantastic. My son is a size 9 and I ordered the 8 based on other reviewers saying they run large - indeed they do! He still has room in the toe-box for growth too. These are lovely, bright and seemingly well made shoes. My son was thrilled with them when he took them out of the box. They are very comfortable and easy for little ones to put on themselves. Only one hook and loop strap to secure, a loop at the back to help pull them over the heel, and best of all, the tongue is sewn on one side so it doesn't move around - excellent! The arch support seems good and the shoes seem adequately rubberized at the bottom and around the heel and toe to prevent slipping. Love these. Will see how they hold up over time and update this review with any issues.

I just bought a pair of these sneakers for my 6-year old daughter. Amazon was very good to deliver them within 2 days. Pros: 1. very nice color (pink/light blue). My daughter absolutely loved the shoes. 2. very lightweight but the insole is mid-weight, thus provides some cushioning. Good padding around the ankle. 3. velcro strap, so very easy for kids to put on without any help. Cons: 1. Size seems to be a bit off. My daughter wears size 12 or 12.5 in other brands, but for Tsukihoshi, I ordered size 11.5 and thought size 11 may even be better for her. So my advice is to go at least half a size SMALLER. 2. Sole seems to be a bit thin. We only have had them for ~10 days so it remains to be seen if the shoes last at least 6 months (well, I hope for the price I paid) In summary, very nicely made shoes, good quality. I'd recommend them. I'll try to update about their longevity after a few months of wear.

I bought these for my son, in the size he was wearing at that time. When they arrived, he tried them on & they literally fell off his feet. The sizing is way off!
