Let me preface by saying I have really high end hobby grade RC cars. I bought this one because it had some good ingredients to its build that caught my attention. It has an all metal driveline which is hard to find until you get to real expensive models, you want this as cheap plastic driveshafts usually fall apart or snap right when you're having the most fun. It has a rear solid axle and proper front end links and tub chassis. Most cheap models have weird designs that lend themselves to annoying quirks when it comes to changing batteries or the design flat out causes a point of failure; not this one, it stuck to basic tried-and-true industry designs that are strong (also making it upgradable with higher end parts should you wish). I actually bought this one as a spare parts car because they sell this one with a rock buggy body (identical car, different body) as well but those are disappearing now from Amazon. As for the car, it runs well. Very fast and capable. I have run it through mud, sand, dirt, grass, all but snow essentially and it handles it all well. I've upgraded mine with a much longer life battery and more efficient battery connectors so it has a run time of 1.5 hours and the connector made it go even faster. The wheel hubs are standard so you can fit bigger offroad wheels and tires from scale models to change the look and ground clearance. I also upgraded the shocks (measure and buy a set off another model) for more ground clearance. Now it is a serious offroad buggy and is a nice respite from my racing models that usually require more attention and care. My main unit is now 3 years old and still kicking. Most Amazon RC cars are pure junk but not this one. I'm sad that it's slowly fading away. I hope someone brings this chassis back in the future.

we exercise our dog with this thing. She loves it. She chases (and gets chased by) this thing and it keeps her on her toes. It is fast out of the hole shot and has a decent top speed. Any faster and the rear end would start to come around on you. The remote control is super lite and very responsive at a good distance. you can drift this thing in a little bit of loose ground. It is a lot of fun. Quick, responsive and durable. The Jeep part is a flimsy shell, but it looks great hauling a$$ everywhere. Two batteries = endless fun. Follow up. This thing climbs like a real Jeep too. At slow it is very fun to crawl over things. Great explosive power as well. Update: the steering went out. It still runs and everything but it doesn't steer at all. I really hate this. my son and I play with it every night, but it is toast now. I would buy another one.

This is an insanely good RC jeep, for the price. The body is thinner than expected, but is normal for any higher end RC racing vehicle. The power, acceleration, and endurance of this jeep is awesome. It is not indestructible, but very durable. Do not drive in wet or sandy environments, as the power switch will become non-functional. A light dropping of oil on the main front and rear drive axles as well as the drive shaft, will ensure long life of these parts. Battery life is pretty good, but a little bit short. Overall, this is an amazing product!

First off, the battery is amazing, it charges quickly and best of all, there’s two of them. You can charge and play at the same time with very little downtime. Second, my son spends hours everyday working on the car, trying to do flips and other off reading things with this car. Most importantly however, is the amazing modularity of the vehicle. If it was just a toy car i would think twice about the price, but this car is as much as a toy rc car as it is a very accurate model of a real vehicle, complete with rear and center differentials. The different parts can be taken apart and reassembled into various different forms for the different off roading you wish to do with the car. Overall, if you’re looking for a fun car that’ll teach your kid a thing or two about mechanical engineering, this is the buy for you.

Everything is great about this RC Jeep with the exception that both batteries failed within three months. Jeep was a Christmas gift for my 6 yr old son and he absolutely loves it. Would’ve given much higher star rating if not for the fact of the batteries failing. Tried emailing Subotech about the issue but never got a response.

This is the real deal fast rc car, blew me away how far these have come since I was a kid, got it for my 4 year old and it's way to fast, but I've been having a blast with it, the rechargeable battery's seem great so far, I haven't crashed it to bad yet so not sure what happened if you break a part, but so far so good!

Purchased Jeep for my son. He liked it a lot. But one of the two batteries were defective upon opening. I contacted the seller and requested a replacement. They refused. Because my son liked the Jeep a lot, I decided to keep it with one battery. However, two weeks later, that battery died. So I contacted the seller a second time and requested replacement batteries for the defective ones they sent. The company sent back a mostly unintelligible message. But I was able to decipher it enough to know they were telling me they were unable to ship batteries to me. If you buy this product, you are rolling the dice. I think the car itself works fine. But if you get bad batteries, don't expect any help from the manufacturer.

I bought two of these cars be aware you cannot run these in any type of moisture or the car will fail and stop moving. It is not as advertised in the promotional video which it shows it rooting through mud and water with ease. The actual reality of this car is that its a store brand car with store brand qualities. If you want a car that any type of driving all types of weather you need to buy a hobby grade RC car like a Traxxas Rustler which is only $75 more than these cars. Your run time doubles and they are four times as strong, Ive broken parts like crazy on hobby grade RC cars which can be a money pit. But if you want to have a car that actually runs you need to have something where you can change and replace parts and not try and rely on some extended manufacturing warranty.
