How does the belt work?

I haven't bought this yet but in the description under "about this item" it says it doesn't come with a belt

Are the waist sizes true to UK sizing? Are bottom hems narrow or generous as need to permit a prosthetic leg knee fitting?

My husband says that the waist size is true. And the bottom hems should be wide enough to fit over a prosthetic knee fitting. They dry quickly when they get wet, too.
