Does what it says on the tin, but
the issue may not be cured by this part alone, the other fault that gives the same symptoms is at the other end of the selector cable. The white nylon cap that holds the ball of the gear stick breaks/wears and there are spares available, but so far I have found only one supplier, on the bay of E. Also, don't follow the Haynes manual for adjusting the cables, the plastic clips need to be released gently from the side, not the top, you will break the clips and those I haven't found spares for yet.

Key part Gear Turret Repair Kit for Saab 9-3
Took the kit to the garage, they used most of the parts and it worked a treat. The main problem being accessing the heat turret. The gears change and locate smoothly now after the rework. The specialist gear & clutch garage charged me for an hour’s work, £75+VAT. Feb. 2022. Love my Saab!!
