UBOXES 5 Mirror & Picture Boxes for pictures up to 30"x40"

Moved across country using these boxes and shipped in a semi. NOTHING broke in these boxes! I paid full price, as of the time of my order, as listed on Amazon. Like these a lot. Fast & easy to assemble. Material is thicker & tougher than many others. Would like even more if the interior width was a little bigger - packing pictures & paintings, I seem to run out of width before the other dimensions or the weight limits me; want to get more in each box. But these do work well.

A few months ago I moved from LA to Chicago and had a bunch of picture frames plus a mirror that I needed to pack so they could go on a truck and then into storage. If you have a frame or mirror that is a lot bigger than the folded dimension, these might not hold up as well because the cardboard towards the middle won't be as sturdy or thick, but it's a great way to pack 3-4 smaller frames vertically, next to each other. Bubble-wrap each frame and then fold an additional piece of cardboard (like a flattened moving box) over the whole thing and tape it up. It's not really how it was designed to be used, but it definitely helped me out. I do feel like it's a little overpriced, but then again it saved me from having to replace easily $100+ worth of frames. And I know it's sturdy because a few of my other moving boxes got banged around quite a bit and this totally held up. I was also able to reuse one side of it to store drawing paper and posters.

These mirror boxes are very versatile and relatively sturdy. I was able to fit all of my picture frames and paintings of all different sizes, and the boxes provided the versality make it happened. The value it provided was worth the investment and made my moving that much easier. I recommend the product if you are looking for boxes to pack large poster frames or paintings savely.

I’m so angry with myself for not reading the other reviews and measuring these boxes before my 30-day return window expired! I specifically purchased these because they are advertised as 30” x 40” and I had a large framed piece of artwork I planned to sell and ship. By the time the artwork sold, I was past the return window. When I finally went to pack it, I discovered these boxes are nowhere near the advertised usable size. Mine measure approximately 22” x 32” at best. The size was THE ENTIRE REASON I bought them! I ended up having to cobble together multiple pieces from two sets just to create a box large enough for my artwork. I used a ridiculous amount of packing tape to reinforce everything, and now I’m concerned that if the artwork is damaged in transit, the carrier could potentially question the packaging when I make an insurance claim. For $60 for a pack of 10 pieces—which really only makes about five complete boxes—this is unacceptable. If a product is being sold specifically as a 30” x 40” mirror/art shipping box, a customer should reasonably expect it to accommodate something close to the advertised dimensions. Measure these as soon as you receive them. Do NOT wait until you actually need them like I did.

These boxes do work but only if you understand you will have to shape them like a puzzle piece around your mirror or picture. I had two 30” diameter round mirrors and a larger rectanglular painting by a dear friend to pack. All three items required THREE of the half boxes that came in the pack. If I hadn’t come to the comments to see what others did, I would have given up in frustration. The video provided in the UBOX description was INADEQUATE and made you believe you should be able to pack your mirror in two of those half boxes. I’m sure it will be stable and sturdy for my upcoming interstate move but the frustration of wrangling the boxes and going thru a whole roll of tape as a result was NOT worth it.
