These lightbulbs are HOT! They melted my chocolates in a glass jar which has never happened before. We used to keep the lights on at night but since they’re so hot we do turn them off before bed each night which is annoying.

HA!And I used to think that Halogen bulbs were the best....since trying these Xenon bulbs, I will never go back to Halogen bulbs again.the Xenon bulbs are just as bright, if not brighter, than the Halogen bulbs.I put in a new Xenon bulb the day they arrived (14/MARCH/2015) & as of this writing(19/APRIL/2015), the very same bulb I put in the lamp, is still working perfectly....I tried the same test with the Halogen Bulbs, & they quit working after the third or fourth day.There is just no way in Hades am I going back to Halogen bulbs...ever.The reason why I like these so much are:Cost:The Xenon are cheaper than Halogen.Durability:Unknown. too soon to tell. I have not bounced them around either, so I can not speak in truth about their durability.Brightness:The Xenon are just as bright as the Halogen, if not brighter...and the cost for Xenon is cheaper than halogen.To anyone who as a lamp that takes this kind of bulb, I highly recommend you toss the halogen in the trash& buy Xenon Bulbs. You will not regret it.Will I buy from this seller again? you can bank on it....yes I definitely will.

I waited to write this review until I had used a few of these bulbs to see how they last. I'm completely happy with these bulbs. They are individually boxed and inside each box the bulb is in a little plastic bag that has one end open. It is perfect for inserting the bulb in your fixture without touching it. Since it's recommended not to touch these bulbs with your hands, it works perfectly to slide it out of it's little protective sleeve just far enough to insert the pins into the fixture. So much cheaper than buying them at the local hardware store! I would definitely buy these again!
