My mom has suffered from acid reflux for the last 60 years-- She's 96 y/o. She used to use Gaviscon but found that the Acid Gone not only worked as well, but was less expensive. She has been using Acid Gone for at least 10 years if not more. Her local Pharmacist used to carry it, but no longer can. So, I went online and found it for her. I buy 20-30 bottles at a time for her. I will continue to get it for her for the rest of her life!

Equal ro Gaviscon for relief of reflux. It’s not white in color but light blue which to me is no big deal. I haven’t stained anything yet and I once spilled a little in the middle of the night. You’re going to pay a buck or so more for the other brand (which our stores are net consistentl in keeping shelved, maybe the demand is high) so I just order this and have it delivered.

As someone who suffers from bad acid reflux, I can say this works incredibly well. Unfortunately one of the bottles I got came a bit squished, but I definitely blame the shipping for that. I would highly recommend using this product if you have GERD and your prescription med isn't cutting it. You can take this along with it to help get rid of any extra acid reflux you may have, especially after large meals.

I suffer from gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Although I take prescription medication for it, I still have digestive problems from time to time. My doctor says I can take an antacid whenever the prescription medication is not sufficient rather than increase the medication anymore than has already happened. Always looking for a bargain, I tried Acid Gone Liquid Generic antacid and am very pleased with the results. While I don't expect to have to continue this "double medication" forever, while it is necessary, I am very thankful for Acid Gone. And so is my bank account!

Ingredient proportions different from the name brand and is much thinner liquid. Does not work as well for me. Will not purchase again and will probably throw out.

I prefer to use Gaviscon. This brand is chalky and constipating.

Works well enough, and the mint flavor is inoffensive; however, I prefer Gaviscon, because it forms that protective foam barrier which prevents reflux, and Acid Gone does not seem to do that. Also note that the dose is 1 Tablespoon (3 teaspoons) compared to 2 teaspoons of Gaviscon, so you're using more product per dose.
