Is this duck egg blue colour

I would say yes but knowing there is several different shades this is like a black bird egg blue.

If you want to just toast 2 slices, can you choose either side, or does only one side warm up?

Each side works independently so you can use just one side for two slices. Also temperatures for each side can be controlled separately should you want darker or lighter toasting

Could anyone tell me the width of the actual slots please?

I don't know the exact measurements, but it doesn't quite take a normal slice of 'toast' bread!

The total length of the cord is 75cms from toaster to plug. This can be wound up underneath the toaster to be shorter.
