52 Pack Acoustic Foam Panels 1" x 12" x 12"Acoustic Wedge Studio Foam Sound Absorption Wall Panels (Black/Blue)

Needed something to reduce echo in the room being picked up by the mic and these did exactly what I hoped they would. I mounted mine a bit different than most as I used large cardboard boxes from a recent bunk bed purchase, bought a can of spray glue and glued the panels onto the cardboard. I then hung the completed panels on the wall using Command poster strips. This allows me to reposition the completed panels if needed while leaving no holes in our walls. They are not all perfectly square, but I found that gluing the way I did allows you to reshape them a bit as you set them allowing you to line them up better. Still completely happy with quantity, functionality, price and looks and would recommend.

I ordered these more to cover the walls, and add some echo cancellation, as I live in a historical building that is just starting to do renovations, so my walls has cracks, they are uneven and the paint isn't the best looking, but not tons I can do about it as I rent. Since i have a Youtube studio set up in my room, I figured the best way to make it look more modern was acoustic panels. They do also help with echo cancellation, that "stadium" type of sound, but they don't block noise out from other areas, they aren't for soundproofing, they are designed to stop sound from bouncing around, which does quiet things, such as a window fan, that has it's sound bounced back from the opposite wall. They come VERY compressed. maybe 12 inches thick, and I was worried as it said it could take 48 hours to expand, unless you soak them in water, then it can be reduced to 1-5 hours. However, as soon as I opened the package, POOF they expanded nicely and were pretty much good to go, a few panels were still squished, but they are good enough to go on the wall. The pictures I have attached are from under 60 seconds after opening the package up... One thing, is that they do stink... they smell like really strong mildew, and my skin felt a bit itchy where I had touched them, then myself, but it went away fast. The smell is not mildew, just the smell from the polymer. This is the same foam you get in like a cheap mic windscreen cover, or cheap earbud covers. very fluffy and not rigid. I put mine by a window with the fan pulling air out, and it went away within an hour, anyone that has ordered a mattress recently will be familiar with the process. The panels are large also, very large.

Overall pretty good, the adhesive is strong enough especially if you clean the surface before hand. The installation was simple. The material itself isnt too bad, the only issue I had with it was how some of the red pieces were varying in size. As far as the noise cancellation part of it goes, it obviously doesnt totally kill the noise but it helps the immensely, especially for people who talk/get loud a lot.

These attract dust, hair, smell, and tape to wall ruins wall and you cannot wipe then clean They absorb and they rip easily . If you lead on wall they tear. .it looks good on picture when you buy but these are not stiff foam they are similar to a really crappy sponge that dirt sticks to. You cannot vaccuume them on wall they rip. This ruin wall and are basically useless for sound. I deal aweful writing this bad review but it's important to share . They fall off unless you cover the entire back of foam with tape but then now I asked for refund I have to take down and fit in box and recover from any damage to wall and pride. Do not put on wall anywhere near people if they are touched they are ruined if hair gets on them they are ruined . Lint, pet hair dust pollin everything will stick.

These were a little disappointing because they are not sound proof. Not even close. They do help buffer the sound a little, but I wish we chose something different. My son does appreciate the cool design his walls have though. They were really easy to apply to the walls and have stayed up perfectly over the past year, for whatever that is worth.

The ones that expanded when I opened them were great. The red ones expanded fine no problem, the black ones 90% of them did not expand even after 24 hours. I read the instructions it said to wait for 8 hours or use water to expand them however after 24 hours they still have not expanded. Really disappointed I have asked Amazon to send a new pack of the black ones hopefully they will
