I have 3 dogs, and I wanted to buy a painting of each of them, but they are expensive to commission. I decided to do a paint by numbers myself instead, and I'm thrilled with the results so far. I ordered just one photo to begin to make sure I liked it. See my photo I submitted and the resulting painting. Overall, the process was fairly easy to follow, but I do have some notes: (1) Some of the shapes have incredibly narrow pieces that make it hard to tell what number applies to a part of the canvas. The included paper map helped me figure those out. (2) Some of the paint colors were a bit watery, so I applied them very thick to make sure the color was right. This looks nice. (3) I made some adjustments after I finished to adjust the colors in a couple places so the picture looks better. I added whiskers to my dog and eye shine. Overall, the end result looks great! Even if you aren't perfectly in the lines, the style of the image is very forgiving. It does take a LONG time to do (I'd guess I spent 10 hours), so I did it over a 2-week period. You need a lot of patience. And sometimes I would look at a color and think it made no sense, but clearly, it came out really pretty, even when there's like... army green in here somewhere?? ;) All this to say, the best thing I can tell you about this product is I liked it enough that I have ordered another for my next dog.

This company has fantastic customer service. The colors were off - too dark on the first kit they sent. They communicated quickly and sent an entire new kit asking me to review the colors to be sure they were correct. The paint is smooth and not thick yet covers numbers and lines. The brushes have cheap handles yet the bristles paint smooth and stay pointed. The canvas is heavier than other companies so holds the paint well. The areas to be painted are numbered well and large areas have the number listed a couple times. I am going to order again.

The product itself is awesome! Such a fun activity that’ll keep you busy for hours! I got this for our mom’s paint date and was able to finish just one corner. I took about 2 weeks to get back to it. I completed this within a week but had to take many breaks. I used an AI picture of my girls in a cabana. I think it came out great! I personally have a harder time with eyes so I don’t think I did good on the eyes. I also don’t really like the frame I got, it’s not the best quality but I'm glad it has a frame. That’s where my 4 stars come from. It was a little bit hard to follow the image instructions but overall, I still had so much fun with this! I definitely want to get more.

Wow! I am totally impressed with the final results of this project! I wasn't sure what to expect this being my first time painting by number. I have been trying to paint a canvas of my dog and after multiple attempts that just didn't capture her correctly, I opted to try this product. When it arrived, I was surprised at the tedious detailing of the number coded map on the canvas however, it was very simple to follow and execute. It turned out that the creator picked up on all the colors that make up her coat and belly and included 30 different paint colors. And I have to say that from a certain distance, the finished product looks more like a photograph of her. It captures her completely and I absolutely love it--even my husband was impressed! I never would have been able to come up with this on my own and I'm so grateful this product included every detail of the image I sent. Will definitely be looking for more photos to recreate on canvas because I enjoyed it so much! Worth every penny and every minute of time creating this masterpiece!

10 out of 10. I really love this project. Yes, there are a couple of areas without a number, just leave it until you finish and use your judgment and creativity to fill it out. You can paint it by filling all the same numbers and when it's finished go back and blend it, or paint by area and blend it right away. I mixed some colors with water if I don't need it to be intense.
