This book offers strong affirmation for the idea of mentoring by simply sharing life together. It is not all about a "program" or a step by step plan. Connie Witt understands that.

An excellent resource for those who doubt they could mentor. Written from the perspective of mentoring as a lifestyle. Seeing opportunities all around us, rather than the more structured role of the scheduled mentor/me tee relationship.

This book has been extremely helpful to us as we prepare to launch a mentoring opportunity for the women of our church. The explanations and honesty of Connie's story are inspiring.

That Makes Two of Us is written for real-life relationships. It not only stresses the importance of the relationships in our lives but gives the "how to" of developing and prioritizing them in the busy-ness of everyday living. We as women all have plenty of people in our lives...but do we have significant connections with other women? You know...the share your heart, laugh till you cry relationships? And not only do we long to be on the receiving end of those relationships...we need to GIVE also. We may feel as if we're unqualified to help others, but we know and have experienced much more than what we're often willing to admit. This book gives you practical tools and suggestions for connecting with other women, and I highly recommend it!

This book is for all of you out there who are like me and think you can't mentor someone. The authors encourage you on how God has put so many things in your path that helps you to help someone else. Don't shy away from this book because your afraid to mentor because I'm sure you are already mentoring now and you don't even know it. So let this book show you how you can be better at and more aware of when you are mentoring and in fun ways!

I'm the director of Women's Ministries at my church and picked up this book because the description sounded so good.As I read it through, I kept thinking "I can do this(lifestyle mentoring)". In fact after I finished reading the book, I called up a younger woman and invited her to dinner with my family-just because.Now the challenge is how to get this book, with its very practical ideas, into the hands of many women here at my church so that they too will realize that this style of mentoring is not beyond them.
