I purchased this workbook to give my daughter a head start before the school year begins, and it has exceeded my expectations! The engaging activities keep her interested, making learning enjoyable. It’s perfect for those days when she has a half day or no school at all. As a parent, I appreciate the importance of supplementing her education at home, and this workbook fits the bill perfectly. Additionally, the grade key in the back allows me to easily assess her work and track her progress. I highly recommend this 5-star product to any parents looking to enrich their children's learning experience!

I love Summer Bridge

Purchased both this one and the 6-7 Grade version for my son after failing 7th grade math and English to work on over the summer. The book is nicely laid out and breaks down into daily lessons that primarily focus on english and math but also throw in a little science, geography and history here and there. We have been using the books for about a month now and I have my son completing one daily lesson from each book each day. I then check his answers when I get home from work (as well as any required supporting work for math) and help him review what he got wrong and why. With that said, I often will come home to find at least one section done completely wrong or he will hold off to do a math section because he either did not understand the instructions or did not comprehend the subject matter. Because of this I have taken to reviewing the next day's lesson with him the night before to see if he has any questions. Most of the non-math sections are multiple choice. Every so often (about once every 5 lessons or so) there is an essay or writing assignment. The book usually only allows a few lines for writing and as I want my son to write more I am making him do those either on another sheet of paper or typing them up on the computer. He is finding the 7-8 grade book a little more challenging than the 6-7 book, which is good but the lessons are very similar between the two books for both levels on each activity day. Overall I think the Summer Bridge series and this book are well written and having the answers in the back of the book are helpful. I do think the physical exercise portions of the book should be dropped. Having one section dedicated to rotating your arms or doing jumping jacks is a waste of space that could be put in a side note section and include another lesson for the day instead. The one thing that would make this a 5 star rating was if they provided at least one example in each section as to how to do the problem. Other than that no complaints and I am seeing an improvement in my sons efforts and comprehension with most of the material. Great product to keep your children's skills fresh over the summer

Definitely helped my 13 year old during the summer to keep his mind fresh from what he learns the past year and let him get a little foot into the door for this next school year!

I bought this workbook to keep my child engaged over the summer, and it’s been a huge help. The lessons are short but effective, covering math, reading, science, and writing in a way that’s easy to follow. I love that it only takes about 15 minutes a day and helps prevent the summer slide. Definitely worth it for a smooth transition into the next grade.

The Summer Activity School Book for grades 7-8 is excellent! Fun activities keep kids engaged and reinforce learning. Highly recommend!

These books are excellent at keeping my kiddos' brains sharp and preventing summer slide. I love that each day is assigned and the tasks are relatively quick. We've used other books in the past and we have found these to the best.

On Day 1, all 4 of my kids needed help to answer the questions because they had not covered the concepts yet. I purchased 4 books at different grade levels, the ones corresponding with there grade level and intended for these books to simply review concepts so they wouldn’t lose the information over the summer. I wanted an independent workbook that would have 15-20 minutes of review per day. These books are not what I needed for my purpose. These books have work for the grade level they will be going into in the fall, but as mentioned in another review, there are no instruction or examples. I am a little surprised that the unknown material was on the very first day/first page. My intention was not to teach with these books but to give them something to review before fun activities for the day. I will be ordering either a different book or the grade level below.

Books is very useful for preparing kids to gr8

Summer Bridge has become a traditional book for my kids transitioning to another class since 2018. It boosts their confidence for the next grade. It's a guide for me to put them through and engage them academically during the summer. I will buy it over and over again.

This book has 4 months content, So i ask kids to finish 2 days exercise each day. They can finish it in 30 min to an hour. Some of the materials are not covered, so I have to teach then. And some gym practice requires equipment, you can always skip or do other alternative ones. But overall, these are good practices for them in summer.

There was little to no review or any examples to help with the questions and the activities seemed to be pretty advanced...but if a child didn't need any review or examples then it would be great
