The Elder Scrolls Online: Tales of Tamriel, Book I: The Land

This is a nice companion to Elder Scrolls Online.The presentation is beautiful. It's a hardcover with a surface that's almost velvety with a nice emboss design. If you happen to have the Diablo III companions on the folklore, such as The Book of Cain or The Book of Tyrael, this is almost like those in terms of presentation. The pages are designed like old parchment with yellow pages and mould stains.The content are actually text from the game. You might find the text online as well through sources such as Wikia but that would be troublesome to go through compared to them all collected neatly in this book.The text are stories and lore from various inhabitants of Tamriel, from all the three warring factions, Aldmeri Dominion, Daggerfall Convenant and Ebonheart. There's also a section with several chapters on creatures.For every spread, there's either one or two pieces of beautiful artworks that decorate the blocks of text.It's a great book for fans of Elder Scrolls Online. I love the Elder Scrolls games. When I saw these books being sold I instantly bought them.This book ( Tales of Tameriel: book 1: the Land) is well put together. Sturdy cover, high quality paper, and the text is very legible.The illustrations are gorgeous. The artists did an amazing job!Reading the book was delightful and full of new information. Made me want to play the games again.Overall I'm happy with this book and would highly recommend it to my friends and other fans of the Elder scrolls.

This was a really great read, full of fascinating facts and details about Tamriel. A must read for any Elder Scrolls fan!

This book is gorgeous. It is absolutely beautiful.A lot of the content can be found in TESO if you read the various books you come across in game, but the illustrations and the overall construction of the book are fantastic. The very best part is when you first open it and catch a wiff of that delicious new-book smell. The pictures are fantastic and beautiful, and the various stories/articles are interesting to read.The pages are thick and sturdy, and the cover is a supple almost leather-like feel to it.I took off one star for the following reasons:1. The font is a little... meh. This is a personal opinion, I think it would have been much better if the font looked more like handwriting instead of a generic "ye olde font."2. The cover holds fingerprints horribly and isn't very easy to rub off. It's a wonderful feeling material, and it's beautiful, but after holding it enough to read it there are fingerprints and smudges all over it. A dry cloth does pretty well to clean it off, but not perfect.Wonderful book, and much better quality than I was expecting!

Excellent lore companion, both in terms of content and build. The product is very well built and durable, and as many others have said here, the content isn't necessarily original. Really, what you are getting here is a collection of in-game text (scattered throughout the world) and organized in a way such that it is easy to read and follow. With this lore companion, you can read the texts at your own speed, and not have to worry about reading the sections out of order and being confused. Highly recommend that any ESO fan pick this up if they are looking to learn more about the lore.

Any Elder Scrolls lore fan needs these books in their collection. They are great quality, hardcover releases. The artwork in them is straight out of he game and I feel like I just completed a round of lore book hunting when I read them. Great read, great buy!

These books accumulate the lore/books present in the game and put it in a format that is a lot easier to consume. Generally when I'm playing the Elder Scroll games, I'm involved in the game and am reluctant to stop and read the stories though I'm very interested. Having them in a very nice bound form is really nice. I hope they do a lot more of these games. They put enormous effort into the lore of these games and it's nice to see them find another way to make a profit on it.

This is a must have for any die hard ESO fan. Upon arrival, the cover was more beautiful than I imagined. I almost didn't want to take the plastic off, but I did anyways and I'll confirm it, the hard cover is beautifully textured and feels almost like leather. The pages are thick and have a nice, sometimes difficult to read, font. But that's common with any true Elder Scrolls font. It lists the history of Tamriel in sequence of each faction. And looks amazing on a collector's bookshelf. Highly recommend!

I held off on these for a while as I feared it would be a cash grab milking on the popularity of elder scrolls. How wrong was I. As all the other reviews describe the quality is brilliant and although the content is taken directly from in game books it's nice to have it all in one compendium along with some kick ass artwork. I will definitely be ordering more after I've saved some money but any elder scrolls fan interested in the rich lore of the series will enjoy these.

The book is well written, has great illustrations and explains everything about the land and the people of Tamriel, I recommend to anyone the likes the lore/history of the elder scrolls universe to pick up a copy.

Com certeza, para os fãs da série The Elders Scrolls, é um artigo para colecionar. O livro em si já é uma obra de arte, o conteúdo é bastante rico e com muitas ilustrações e contos sobre Tamriel.

Il libro di per se non è che una raccolta di alcuni libri trovati durante il gioco (che alla fine non superano che le 6-7 righe in media, insomma piccoli pensieri più che libri). Non aggiunge niente di "storia" in quanto se chi ha giocato esplora per benino avrà già letto quello che è scritto quì.Direi che il prezzo è troppo alto per un libro che non ha avuto molta fantasia per essere scritto (prezzo che però è conforme in tutto il mondo, non è da imputare ai negozi)Il libro però, oltre ad avere una fantastica copertina rigida davvero bella al tocco e alla vista, è tempestato di disegni di personaggi, luoghi, armi, tutto ciò che si possa immaginare su Tamriel e i suoi abitanti. E' l'unico punto forte che ne rende necessario l'acquisto per chi ama osservare i minimi dettagli mentre si legge.
