Takes time but money well spent
Purchased this charger in a long-shot effort to revive an AGM battery for a car that sits to long between short drives. Needless to say the battery does not get charged, often or well enough, and it finally 'died.'The battery is a two year old $200 Bosch battery and I did not want to replace it unless absolutely necessary so gave this little charger/conditioner a try. When I pulled the battery, it had an open circuit voltage < 7.5V. In the past this meant the battery was over discharged, damaged, and not going to work anymore - time to buy a new one.I hooked up this charger and it showed a battery error and would not charge because the voltage was too low. So I used a regular 3A charger as a bootstrap for about 30 minutes and got the battery voltage to about 9V and reconnected this charger. At that point the KeyLine took over in desulphation mode and blinked away.Knowing that a 1.5A charger would take a while to charge a dead 70AH battery I let it sit for a few days.On day 3 it was still working in desulphation mode but the battery voltage was up to 10.5V. Slow and steady progress.A couple days later the battery voltage was 12.6V and the charger was now in regular charging mode.A week later the battery was fully charged. In summary: for $35 investment in this charger, a week of charging, saved $200 on a new battery, plus once I bolt the charger in and keep it in maintenance mode no more dead battery.Great!

I think it's the best charger money can buy.
Super product. This is my second KeyLine 125-MPXP charger. I bought the first one two winters ago when my Harley Davidson battery maintainer, which cost more than twice what this one did, had a total melt down. This is the third winter that it'll be on the bike and I have complete confidence that I'll have full battery power in the spring. The charger comes with a connector wire that attaches to the battery screws and stays on the bike year round. When you want to boost up your battery the charger clips into this connector. I found a USB adapter cord on Amazon that clips into this connector allowing me to charge my cell phone while riding. The package also comes with the traditional clip on style batter connector which makes it easy to move the charger from one battery to another. I plan on using this one to maintain the battery in my riding lawn mower and a car that I'm storing in my garage.

Must if you store your bikes for long periods of time.
I own 2 BMW motorcycles: F800GS Adventure and a R Nine T and winters get cold enough to where I have to sit a couple of weeks out of riding. I don't have a garage so every Sunday I uncover them, dust them off and turn them on and take them for a little spin (weather permitting) sometimes I can feel the bikes struggle to start and a couple of weeks ago I had to charge one of them, which involve taking the fairing of and accessing the terminals which ended up in braking a bracket of and other aggravations plus I know this will kill a lead non deep-cycle battery so I invested in two of these. I installed the hard wire option, it took me a while (if your not mechanically inclined, have your shop do it for you) but now I go for a ride, come back plug the charger in and forget about it and I don't have to worry about replacing an expensive hard to reach may lead to trouble and pulling my few hairs out dead battery later.

Water condensation burnt it.
I use this product to keep my backup car battery charged in the basement. Water condensed in the charger and burnt the transformer due to the temperature variation caused by on and off charging. This company advertised the product is "weatherproof" "waterproof" . However, the one I bought from this company flooded and burnt.I demand KeyLine Chargers either fix the false advertisement or compensate my lost.I can provide a picture of the burnt transformer upon request. When I open it, there is obvious water existence.

Poor float charger
Used this charger periodically for several years to slow-charge batteries, but never depended on it for float/maintenance until this spring. Used it for 2 months on an in-car 12v battery. At the end of the 2 months when I checked, the battery was stone dead. Not learning my lesson, I moved it to my motorcycle battery and it also ended up near dead after about a month. Tossed it out so it can't bite me a third time.It appears the charger would work when initially hooked up to a battery, but not turn on to float charge after that.I do not recommend this product

Totally Worth It.....
I bought this charger solely for the purpose of maintaining & extending the service time of my vehicle's battery as I am a DIY person. It is because I am heavily reliant of my only vehicle (2007 Ranger 2wd Diesel) for work, play and emergency purposes. So, downtime for me was never an option. There aren't many chargers that could perform all the 5 functions like this one do at this price point. The value-for-money bargain was almost like a steal it was unbelievable. When it comes to operation, I must say, using this charger was as simple as connecting it to the car battery, let it run its job and the battery was charged and ran with new-like efficiency.I am planning to use this charger recharge the battery once every 20,000 km to keep the battery in a good shape for years to come. All and all, it is an item worthy to be kept in my personal garage and I truly recommend this charger to anyone who did their own auto repair.

Nice maintainer
This unit seemed to work as advertised. I had two old batteries in my shop that couldn't pass the "load" test, in fact they almost went to zero with a load. It took about five days each to charge with this unit and they seem to work fine. I was testing the load every couple of days and they are holding up OK.

Restored two Car batteries that were dead otherwise
OK, we have too many cars but because we don't own a NEW car, so we have extras. Two of my autos were sitting for a couple years due to maintenance needs and low funding. Once I got enough funds to repair, the batteries were dead. I tried using a regular charger with no success. After I read about this Keyline and purchased it, I tried charging the batteries with this Keyline & after about 3 days, they were able to take a charge again. Hooray! What a great device.
