iPad Air 3 (10.5 Inch 2019) Case, iPad Pro 10.5 2017 Case, Poetic SlimShell Slim-Fit Trifold Smart Cover Stand Folio Case with Auto Wake/Sleep for Apple iPad Air 3rd Gen, Slimline Series, Navy Blue

I bought several Poetic cases over the years for my 2 x iPad Pros, iPad Air 2 and iPad Air - all were sterling, long lasting and flexible units. All are still in use today.I bought this smaller Poetic case to replace my still functional Poetic iPad Pro case with Apple Pencil holder. I just wanted the same great case without the Pencil holder.Boy was I disappointed! All of the old cases were flexible rubbery plastic that last forever. This new case is a hard and extremely brittle cheap plastic that broke at the corner within 2 days of normal light use! My iPad Pro fell out of the case, luckily onto the bed. I assumed that I did not install the device correctly, went to reinstall it and saw a corner broken off.Oh Poetic, how far you have fallen. Just charge a little more and go back to you old soft plastic formulation please! But too late though, as you have already lost a longtime loyal customer with your race to the bottom.

Good:- high quality feeling screen cover- smooth enough surface but not slippery (both screen cover and case)- easy to access side buttonsBad:- top and bottom of the case is exposed- screen cover not lined up properly on the glued area (mine in particular)This case looks and feels like a high quality case. Each section of the screen cover feels solid, and it has a pleasant feeling texture (outside and inside). The magnet seems decently strong. The back has these non-frosted streaks that give the back a better grip. The power and volume buttons are not fully surrounded by the case so it's easy to press them. This also makes it easy to open the screen cover.As for protection, I doubt this would protect my iPad from falls, but it looks like it offers some protection from scratches. Be careful of the top and bottom parts though, as it's only protected at the corners. It would have been great if there was a bit more protection there.So as to why I only gave it a 4 star? Mine came with a screen cover which is glued a bit too low. There's no gap between the plastic case and the cover when you close the screen cover. The top area is fine, but the bottom area sticks out (look at photos 8 and 9). I fear this will reduce the longevity of the screen cover's hinge there. Also it has a sharp feeling when you slide your hand there.Other than that, this is a good case, and I recommend it if you want a good looking screen cover with a case to protect your ipad pro from scratches. I've seen this case for the other models of the ipad, and some of the reviews there wrote that the plastic casing had cracks after just 2 months or shorter, so I'll try to keep updating this review every month or so in terms of its durability.

UPDATE - Every edge chipped away and the device doesn't stay put anymore. This is from just light use.The design sort of reminds me of the Apple made covers/cases for the ipad mini 2.It is well made, the sleep/wake works for the cover and offers good protection.The device can stand with zero issues on folding the cover and it has a nice inner lining.Cons: The top and bottom edges are exposed and it adds weight to the device

I bought this case for the my new Ipad. It fits perfectly and I like the feature which will lock the screen when you close it and unlock it when you open it(but you should not have passcode or finger print lock enabled for this feature to work). I like this mainly to use the case as a stand, which comes very handy when watching movies.My favorite thing about this case is it doesn't show fingerprints and it doesn't get dirty. So far it's been 4months and still looks like new.

Good product but the corners are cracking (I haven't ever dropped it, I baby my iPad). I plan to replace it very soon.

Less than four months after I purchased this, all four plastic corners have broken off. I only use my iPad at home and neighborhood cafes, do NOT buy this.

I found this to be really good at first so I recently got one of these for my mom. A friend of mine got me one of these about 6 months back. Just a month after I got the second one the first one started coming apart. All corners except the one on the top right broke. The iPad just slips right out of the case. When talking to a friend who had a same one, I found out he had the same issue. The iPad really feels heavy with this case on

I've been using Poetic cases for a while for various things.This case fits perfectly and works as a nice stand for the iPad.The art on the inside is a nice touch.
